It will end if they don't start scheduling better OOC games. With B1G network programming you never have to miss a game. I'd rather watch at home or a sports bar than drive 200 miles to watch McNeese State.

Scheduling is a factor, but all I'm, saying is Bo needs to learn how to do a better job and if he doesn't, we'll see multiple double digit losses every year, which will most certainly lead to the loss of that sellout string.

Even with the horrible 4 losses each year, ticket prices are still going up.

That means the demand for the tickets is not going down.

McNeese St is when everybody gets to go that don't normally get to go. Scalpers dread those games.

The sellout streak didn't end under HWSNBN. They'll let Bo go before that happens.

Trust me on this.......for every 1 person who gives up their season tickets there are 10 people waiting to buy them. No matter how bad we are doing.

We are the dumbest smart fans in the world. We will bitch and moan to the bitter end, but we keep coming back for more. Every year we still think things can change, even if they can't.

I didn't even click on it.

If the boosters get to the point they have to send the warning to Eichorst for change or they'll stop buying up extra tickets then Eichorst will make a change.

I think it will be safe. the sellout survived 02, 04 and 07 season so it's gonna take a back to back collapse season of 5-7 losses for it to be seriously in jeopardy.

I guarantee you it isn't bullshit because I have waited at the stadium before and waited until right before kickoff to purchase tickets at WAY less than ticket price at BIG games. The reason for this is that a scalper would rather sell tickets for something as opposed to eating their tickets. FOR YEARS, the only way I got tickets for the games was at the stadium, and I absolutely would not buy them above ticket price. The only game I have ever been shut out of was the Nebraska vs Iowa game back in 1982.

The only reason why I stopped going to games was I got tired of fighting the crowd and searching for parking.

By the way, $10 for a ticket to the MSU debacle was overpriced! What a TERRIBLE performance by Bo and his staff!

the one where he reminds us that bop loses 4 games a year

Blame the guy who wrote the article. He inspired me, and can you say with a straight face that things will get better this next season? The Fresno State game at night doesn't look too promising. That game just reminds me of the type of game that Bo loses his composure and it affects the team like it has many times since he's been here. MSU and Northwestern are the same types of games. The first seven games will tell us a lot about our team. I'm most likely going to be wrong about my prediction of losing the sellout string, and to be honest with you, I could care less about it.

Well no fucking shit Sherlock. It's always been that way in front of the stadium, even in the mid 90's you could buy tickets for face value or below if you waited until last minute. The reason is what you stated. The scalper will taking anything as opposed to nothing. If the clown that wrote the post would have waited until 15 minutes after the game started, he probably could have gotten his MSU ticket for $5. That would have made his article even more ALARMING to suckers like you, huh?

Don't confuse a modernized ticket renewal system for begging people to buy season tickets. :L

First of all, what kind of chump wants to miss all of the pregame just to wait for a scalper to give his tickets away?

Second of all, no scalper is going to end up at fucking $10 a pop on decent seats. Not one fucking chance. I've been there, done that way too many times. Anybody would gladly pay face value LONG before it got down to $10, especially in an important game such as Michigan State.

If this fuckstick seriously waited and got a ticket for $10, then he was sitting up in the last row underneath the overhang where he couldn't see 3/4 of the field.

I'm no idiot.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Well here I am again standing in the clouds watching all the sunshine rainbows being pumped out of posters asses here. IMO Xorb is right.

It is only a matter of time and the sellout streak will go the way of all the other traditions we've seen sail away on the sunshine express. It's not all Bo's fault but the blowouts and the tantrums sure don't help.

TV coverage guarantees it is going to eventually happen though. Already you look at the student section for any given game and it is half empty.

Then consider the schedule. There is one game worth a shit in Lincoln this year and it is on prime time network tv. Every other game if your going to it, your going because you just want to see a Nebraska game in Memorial and who they're playing doesn't matter. How many times you going to buy a ticket for that reason. Sure not going to buy season tickets for 1 decent opponent.

Now admittedly that is only one year but eventually it will only take one years schedule like this year and the streak is gone.

And I might be wrong but if there are 10 people waiting in line for every 1 person giving up their season tickets why are there still season tickets available?

It's only a matter of time and the number of blowouts and tantrums Bo has each year is definitely in inverse correlation to the length of time it will take to happen.

And once again it's not about the 4 losses per year. It's the blowouts! :gaah:
