First of all, what kind of chump wants to miss all of the pregame just to wait for a scalper to give his tickets away?

Second of all, no scalper is going to end up at fucking $10 a pop on decent seats. Not one fucking chance. I've been there, done that way too many times. Anybody would gladly pay face value LONG before it got down to $10, especially in an important game such as Michigan State.

If this fuckstick seriously waited and got a ticket for $10, then he was sitting up in the last row underneath the overhang where he couldn't see 3/4 of the field.

I'm no idiot.

And that's all I have to say about that.

I've seen scalpers who have priced tickets into the stratosphere, and wouldn't budge until the last minute figuring it was worth a chance to make a killing I guess, but I personally don't see the logic with that. If I wanted to scalp tickets and I had them priced very high in the beginning, I certainly wouldn't wait until I had to sell them at a loss, but to each his own I guess.

Well here I am again standing in the clouds watching all the sunshine rainbows being pumped out of posters asses here. IMO Xorb is right.

It is only a matter of time and the sellout streak will go the way of all the other traditions we've seen sail away on the sunshine express. It's not all Bo's fault but the blowouts and the tantrums sure don't help.

TV coverage guarantees it is going to eventually happen though. Already you look at the student section for any given game and it is half empty.

Then consider the schedule. There is one game worth a shit in Lincoln this year and it is on prime time network tv. Every other game if your going to it, your going because you just want to see a Nebraska game in Memorial and who they're playing doesn't matter. How many times you going to buy a ticket for that reason. Sure not going to buy season tickets for 1 decent opponent.

Now admittedly that is only one year but eventually it will only take one years schedule like this year and the streak is gone.

And I might be wrong but if there are 10 people waiting in line for every 1 person giving up their season tickets why are there still season tickets available?

It's only a matter of time and the number of blowouts and tantrums Bo has each year is definitely in inverse correlation to the length of time it will take to happen.

And once again it's not about the 4 losses per year. It's the blowouts! :gaah:

Exactly.

One question. Is it normal to have season tickets available 2 months before kickoff?

Just asking because it used to be as you said, when one person gave up their seat there was 10 waiting.
Now they are advertising seats available and it is almost July.

I really don't know. Is that normal now?

Maybe they want to be sure that sellout streak doesn't end?! Nothing in life is guaranteed except death, taxes, and horrible politicians.

3 ways to get a $10 ticket to ANY Nebraska game.

1. Be willing to miss the pregame, tunnel walk, and kick-off. At that point a scalper will take what he can get. He doesn't want to eat what he has left.
2. Buy a single seat. They are the hardest for a scalper to get rid of because people go together and want to sit next to family or friends. He makes his real money off of pairs or more.
3. Be willing to sit in the end zone nose bleeds.

Once you've done one of those 3, write an article instilling fear into the gullible that the sellout streak is in jeopardy because you got a $10 ticket. Enjoy!!!

I didn't base my opinion on a broken sellout streak by being able to get tickets below ticket price, but some fans figuring it wasn't as enticing to go to a game to see our team lose by double digits, like what we see from Bo a few times every year, except the 2009 season in which we saw just one blowout. On the other hand, If Callahan, {remember him?} had come back in 2008 with the same game after game blowout results, the sellout streak most likely would have ended that year.

The east stadium expansion coupled with the new "Seat Yourself" online process opened up a bunch of endzone season tickets. On top of that they converted 500 seats that had prreviously been sold on a "per game basis" into season tickets.
The only season ticket seats that don't require an additional donation are north endzone rows 90-99.

You know, the $10 scalpers ticket the writer likely refers to.

Who is the gullible one here? I have gotten 20 to 30 yd line seats for under ticket price by waiting until the last minute, but I'm one of the fans who enjoyed the pregame stuff, so I paid ticket price for games.

And then there's the fact that as a fanbase we are psycho and have to win everything.

Every online poll......everything.

We would never let the longest sellout streak in the history of the universe just vanish. Never.

What in the hell are some of you thinking?

I don't expect Nebraska to win everything, but it would be nice for them be competitive at least in most games. Without the turnover and the terribly prepared Nebraska teams we saw last year, a two loss season certainly was within reach even with all of the injuries. Also, never say never when referring to the sellout streak, but if things don't get worse than what we saw last season, I think the streak will stay intact for many seasons.

Why don't you tell this to JJM? He's the one who thought someone was bullshitting to be able to get a ticket to a big game for under ticket price at a Nebraska game. By the way dumbass, my last post was about how to get tickets at the stadium, not season passes.

Scalpers are usually still trying to sell their tickets for face value as the 1st Quarter is coming to a close.

The fact that the kid says right before kickoff the scalper folded and gave his tickets away so he wouldn't eat them.......I don't believe it. Scalpers know they can still get some money out of them even after the game has started IF they are even half way decent seats.

2 minutes before the MICHIGAN STATE game he gets in for $10???!!!!

Get the fuck out with that garbage. That game is too big. He may have got in for $10 but it was after kickoff.

As for irule, he doesn't remember which game he got in for $15 because it was against a nobody. I got into the South Dakota State game for peanuts last year just because someone I knew didn't want to drive over from Omaha for it. Happens all the time.

I was joking with irule.

Also, the scalper may not have wanted to wait until the game started, or after the first quarter was over. Maybe he had a drug or sex party he wanted to go to.
