What? No predictions? No accountability? Do we just have people on this board that just like to complain and criticize other's opinions?

Sad...typical message board I guess..

91 wins / 71 losses
193 home runs

All stars = felix, cano, cruz, seager

I'll edit this and add more later.

I started typing this earlier but realized that its not something that can be done quickly so I saved this much until later. maybe others haven't replied yet because of the same reasons.

Not sure if you remember or even saw the Mariners board on ESPN but the threads were basically all exactly this mixed with a lot of self deprecation.

91 wins.

ALW Champs.
Loses ALCS in 6.

Also, 675 runs may not be enough to get them where they want to be. I've a few that the magic numbers for the M's to take the crown is 700 RS. Unless again.... the pitching is lights out.

Jumping to conclusions? There are all kinds of predictions for this season posted through this message board. Maybe some of the people in here just don't feeling like repeating themselves in your thread.

But I will offer this one little nugget: there is no way in hell Nelson Cruz is going to hit 39 homeruns this year. ARod and Sexson are the only Mariners to hit that many in one season in the Safeco Field era and Cruz, at 34-35 years old, does not have the power those two had.

I just hope we win more than we lose... Last year was a good step... I think they have a shot too win the division this year, man it's been a LONG dry run, but things do look up a bit... I'm happy Chuck retired, gives this team more hope...

Was Fairly really as bad as John Madden? I guess I just don't remember him being as captain obvious.

I still don't get this sentiment, I'm glad he retired too but I don't see his retirement as hope. If a new ownership group takes over that would give more hope than 1/3 of the problem with the leadership of the organization retiring.

Agreed. New ownership would be the first step for change with Lincoln being the second. I didn't see Chuck as being the guy who kept us from taking the next step. He really loved the mariners.

I think he loved the Mariners too with his development of personal relationships with players. I hate defending the guy cause I personally don't like him but the guys writing the checks were the first problem, Lincoln the 2nd then it was Armstrong.

It's still a step... Obviously new ownership would be a VERY big step, but this is still a good thing overall with him stepping down ... That dude was a joke ..

I get that part, but I don't get the sentiment about it gives any hope when he was the least of the problems with any leadership IMO. He cared about the Mariners and got a ton of hate primarily because he was the only person who would speak in public so all the venom of fans for everything went at him and all the idiotic things that were from the top came through him. I actually despise him as a person but I guess I just don't get how his retiring is any sign of a positive when Mather is any different than Armstrong except he has the ability to say any in public without fans instantly questioning his motives as well all did when Chuck would talk about making a move for winning.
