I agree with you as well. Sooners will be fine if he never plays a down of football for them but as with every other story in the media today lets just wait for all the facts before the lynching. I have trouble with the witness accounts all friends with the alleged victim.

I remember a big behemoth girl in high school that thought it was all the rage to go around slugging guys. She got away with it about three times even knocked one guy out. Of her other victims most just stood there and took the beating. She finally ran into a guy that wasn't going to stand there and take it and she got knocked out! Everyone applauded and she got up and ran to the cops. Guess what they had already heard about her reputation and took witnesses statements and then charged her with assault. This was in the 80's when women weren't nearly as bold as they are today. Times are changing my friend but right is still right don't go slapping folks unless you want get what you have coming. If the statements are true and the young lady slapped and spit in his face she got exactly what she had coming.

Hmm seems this case may not be as cut and dry as those in here wanting to string this kid up a tree. Apparently, his attorney feels he has enough of a case to ask for charges to be filed. I'm sure if Mixon is found innocent, these loud mouth cow fuckers will be nowhere to be seen in this thread.

Based on statements made by the attacker herself and her witness friends, my opinion is that it IS "cut and dried".

He was physically attacked and he defended himself from harm. They have his statements now, video evidence, and witness statements. He wasn't arrested on the spot yesterday afternoon.

Norman PD need to send a powerful message to modern woman that you can't expect to be treated like a lady, yet conduct yourself in this manner. I.e. Hiding behind the "But I'm a girl" victim-card.

The same intensity needs to be put into the charges that they would have used to bring him to justice.

If it came to that I'd just let her be if she didn't come back. Let her live with an outstanding fugitive warrant and see how she liked it. Eventually she'd be back trying to get it resolved and get on with her life. But in the meantime good luck getting a passport, passing a background check, etc.

So the attorney and mixon both admit that he hit her. Girl apparently is currently in surgery. There is absolutely no way to justify his actions. He got mad - overreacted - and broke a young girl's face.

The attorney is asking for charges against her, because it has to be part of his defense. Apparently there is both video and witnesses showing him hit her. The ONLY thing he can claim is self defense. Great luck getting a jury to buy that a 220lb athlete was scared of death or great bodily injury from chick slap. Horseshit!

Should she be charged for slapping him? Probably so. Misdemeanor A&B. I'm fine with that. However if he broke bones in her face, that is a felony. It does not matter (as redalert who's been wrong about basically every legal statement thus far said) if he hit multiple times, etc... If he hit her and she has fractures or broken bones - it is Felony A&B. Punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
