Bad news for Seattle. Division foes are ones you want to avoid in the post season.

The Seahawks offense didn't look all that great this past weekend where as the 49er's offense thrived against the Panthers late.

They're used to the environment as well.

And they've got a hot hand having beaten GB and Carolina both on the road. They're also healthy.

Going to be a great game.

I'll take the 49er's.
Yeah because Seattle isn't also SF's divisional foe.... :L

Used to the environment? What part of 29-3 and 42-13 makes you think the 9ers are used to Century Link? :L

I wondered about that line myself.

Since Seattle and San Fran are both division foes any advantage is cancelled out isn't it? Kind of a meaningless statement.

Does anyone find it funny and ironic that the guy who threw the game for New Orleans (Marcus Colston) is wearing #12?

The only thing I can think of is that Colston thought the clock was already at 0:00, and that if he knew there were two seconds left, he would've stepped out right away.

There was 8 seconds left when he made the catch. It wasn't close.

I remember it being 2 seconds. He was right next to the sideline, though, and could've easily got out of bounds with a second to spare.

No. There was about 8 seconds left. I think there was 11 on the clock before the snap and brees got him the ball instantly.

I looked it up. You're right. The play started with 11 seconds left and he caught it with 8 seconds left. Terrible brain fart right there.

I picked the Seahawks simply because SF has shown no ability to even show up in Seattle. However, the Seahawk offense has looked less than impressive the last few games. \

Whoever wins (Seattle!), I will be there in person again to see it happen. This will be the 3rd straight SF game in Seattle I've been to and I don't think we Seahawks fans have to remind you how the last 2 turned out. I think it's safe to say I alone am the key to Kraepernick's suckfests in the Clink and the Whiners don't even need to show up Sunday since I'll be there!

Going to be a battle, but the 9ers scare me more than either NE or Denver. Especially with how Kaep has played lately.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if either team won, as many others here have stated. Gonna be one helluva game!

You're probably right.

Right now I think most of us on both sides are mentally preparing to have our still beating hearts ripped out of our chests this Sunday. After we deal with that it'll be on!

And while Seattle fans should be the most confident because it's at home and we play SF well, we have the most to lose in this as well. I can't imagine what the vision of SF dancing and celebrating on our field after a win while their degenerates taunt and harass our fans would do to us all off season. You just can't let your most hated rival win their way to the SB on your turf. We are at that risk of extra insult. If we win it's just your rival beating you at their house. A lot less sting.

That is actually a good point but I hope the 9ers make it happen....nothing against anybody...just want the 9ers back in The Dance.

We could ask VD about how the last two big boy, championship level football games were at the Clink, but he probably only remembers one of them.

This rivalry if you can call it that would be defined as in the "Infant" stages. I have been a Niner fan since John Brodie. It was the Rams and the Cowboys. Just doesn't seem right to call the Niner/Seahawks rivals yet. I know same division and all. But we will need a few more NFC Championships or last game of season for the West crown to deem "Rivalry"
