And RA.....you can't use yourn "we don't improve til midseason" excuse with this one....

This was a different deal here. We introduced a brand new Front 7, of which is all returning next season, and you could see them grow as the season went on.

Why can't I?

We've been here before. How do you know they'll develop any further? How do you know they'll get a workable game plan week to week and execute it without mass confusion?

Last time we were in a situation where we returned talent in the Front 7 was transitioning from 2008 to 2009.

Any time you have a group of Freshman that improve that drastically in the last 9 games of the season, things look good.

We can all blame Steve Penison for the root of the fall of the program and the slow crawl back from the Callakunt days. As the defensive players think less and play more they do get better under Bo, and I know the new front 7 players are better than what was on the field last year (2012) with better push and speed.

Look at the statistics.....

It's much more difficult to dig yourself out of a hole as a Defense than to dig yourself into one. We were overall ranked dead last in the country after week 3 and ended up moving up the ladder into the top 40 by the end of the season.

I'm not ashamed of giving up 416 yards to Georgia....

That is pretty damn good as far as I'm concerned.

Wow. #40 in total defense?

You realize how shitty B-one-G offenses were right?

Beat up Georgia without Murray?

Dropping passes all over the place Georgia?

Unranked 8-5 Georgia?

RA is on a roll tonight.....

You do realize that Wyoming and South Dakota St. completely stifled our Defense in the first few weeks, right?

Ye gonna try and tell me that those two teams play better Offense than the B1G?

We improved. End of story.

And Wyoming racked up those Offensive statistics against who?

If you're gonna say Nebraska played no Offenses, then we might as well point out how Wyoming played no Defenses.

We can play the game a million different ways, but in the end, Nebraska competed in a major conference against bluechip athletes and got better Defensively as the year went on.

6 of 8 B-one-G opponents were 73rd or worse.

5 of 8 were 80th or worse

2 of 8 were 105th or worse.
