I used to be one, and you're right about it being the beginning of lent, but that doesn't explain what ash is symbolic of, which is repentance. I'm not against practicing religion of any kind, I am against the sheer ignorance and hypocrisy associated with doing so and failing to live it, outside of those days set aside to practice it.

Good, you put dirt on your forehead (or allow someone to do it) and someone asks you to remove it. I don't see a problem with it at all, especially for some child to have to be made to wear a sign of repentance. If he's that bad, look at the parents. Maybe he should be made to wear photos of them on his forehead instead.

Now before anyone gets their asses on their shoulders in indignation, I know that it's supposed to be a sign of "repentance." in the same fashion as Valentines day is the day that you're supposed to show your love. Now if you're honest, Valentines day celebrates a special love, as if you haven't done so in all of the time leading up to that day. That said, "repentance" for what? Perhaps, just like that special made up love day, it's for all of the fucked up shit you've done leading up to getting visibly marked as having done some off the wall BS?

And do I have to go through the list of peoples in other administrations who failed to catch guys on their staffs who did something wrong . You just move from one goal post to another

The bottom line is Trump DID promise to drain the swamp of corruption and then proceeded to bring to Washington people who have been indicted and/or plead guilty of felonies. You can try to diminish their roles all you would like but none of that will change the fact that he brought them in and they were crooks and liars.

So let me get this straight. You would be OK if Republicans had formed a special counsel to look into Obama for Fast and Furious, IRS targeting of the Tea Party, Russian collusion, and Benghazi, to include investigations into everybody he has ever known?

If there was reason to investigate Obama, as there is clearly with Trump, then I would have had no problem with it.

It wasn't just a lie, it was a huge campaign promise and he willingly broke it. It was his "read my lips". Bush went back on his promise because he kind of had to. Trump broke his campaign promise on purpose, he never intended to back that campaign promise that he was using to win votes.

Yeah that's a bit different than saying "I won by the largest margin in history" or the other famous lies he has spewed.

Morning. Why now? Why have you chosen to pick this time and this candidate to hold to all of his campaign promises? A lie is a lie and there hasn't been one candidate on the campaign trail that hasn't said he/she was going to do something once elected that never happened. Remember Obama and Gitmo? He was going to close it as his first course of action. Guess what...its still open. That's just one example.
