I'm not waiting around for the over analysis by the media..........here are my "sure to be wrong" picks:

Wildcard Weekend
Texans over Bengals (it will be very close)
Colts over Ravens (this one could get surprisingly ugly)
Pack over Vikings (not as close at Lambeau)
Hawks over 'Skins (RGIII doesn't finish game)

Divisional Round
Pats over Texans (close until 3rd quarter)
Broncos over Colts (early Colts lead; Manning comeback)
Niners over Pack (nail biter early; we gash them in second half)
Hawks over Falcons (Falcons choke again)

NFC Championship,
Niners over Hawks (if we lose, it will involve missed FGs)

AFC Championship,
Pats over Broncos (Manning turnovers, furious comeback falls short)

Super Bowl
Pats over Niners (I hope I'm wrong; Pats beat any NFC team they face)

In the Wild Card round we agree except that I like the Ravens at home over the Colts.

In the Divisional Round we agree except I like Atlanta over Seattle

In the Championship round I think the Falcons will implode and the Broncos will win easily at home over the Pats.

Broncos beat the 49ers handily in the Superbowl. Without Justin Smith Manning will eat us alive and their pass rush will completely stun Kaepernick.

I'll go:

WC-
Texans
Ravens
Pack
Skins

The only pick I'm fairly confident in is the Pack pick because I just think the Vikings spent everything they had to get that win and beating the odds of beating the Pack 2 in a row are slim.

Texans have looked pretty bleh the past couple of games but the Bengals haven't exactly been destroying everything in their paths either.

I lean towards picking the Ravens but it's hard the Colts can be a pretty hot and cold team so it's tough to get a feel for them.

I'm going with the Skins over the Hawks because the Skins have a good running game and I'm not 100% convinced the Hawks road troubles are completely behind them and playing two in a row at home doesn't help.

Divisional:
Pats
Broncos
9ers
Falcons

Texans best hope for beating the Pats was @Houston but I do think it can be interesting as teams on the receiving end of blow outs typically make better adjustments in the next go around.

Hard to see the Broncos losing to either the Ravens or Colts.

9ers over Pack mainly because we'll be well rested and prepared for that game along with the fact the defense seems ultra focused and determined when playing the Rodgers and Brady types.

Falcons over the Skins because I think the Falcons offense will be just too much for the Skins defense. I could see Morris being an X factor though and causing problems for the Falcons.

Championship:
Broncos
9ers

I see the Broncos being a much better team then compared to their first meeting with the Pats this season. Manning has the best defense behind him playing the Pats.

9ers beat the Falcons in a close one. Think we'll be able to run the ball and again I think the rest from the bye will be keep in having the defense being charged up and going after Ryan.

SB:
9ers

Another week of rest and I think our staff is the best in terms of preparation when given an extra week to prepare.

I will say a lot of this depends on how much we can get out of Justin Smith.

Hard to bet against the Broncos: great QB, great D, team of destiny? Kap versus PM? Who would take Kap in that battle? With our injuries too, not gonna be easy to get there. Our receive corp is once again weak, although it is better than last year at this time.

I'm kind of rethinking my Broncos-Pats pick but I won't waver. The Pats no huddle hurry up might not be as viable a mile above sea level. If not, that takes an edge from the Pats.

I dont know how it will go game by game, but I have a sneaky feeling it will be Pats vs 49ers in the SB.

my opinion is we'll go all the way, but two of the three will be nail biters. our offense won't get much better than what we're seeing now, but its enough if they don't turn it over.

our D is good but can't carry us to three play-off wins in a row. so it comes down to the usual scoring by our offense, and scoring includes field goals. agree with the earlier post on "it might come down to a field goal"?

My prediction: Houston takes care of Cinci' handliy. Houston sputtered into the playoffs, but they got beat by some great teams. The Bengals are not a great team. They're in the playoffs because the AFC is not deep at all.

I only know enough to comment about the Seahawks and the 49ers (and even that is debatable). I think the Seahawks beat the Skins, but lose a track meet to Atlanta, I think the 49ers squeak by GB, but if Justin Smith isn't playing I think GB wins. That sets up the 49ers going to Atlanta, and again I think it all depends on Justin Smith and how healthy he is.
On a side note, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Seahawks at least reach the NFC championship game either.

Broncos are the sexy pick to take it all according to the CSN Blitz last night. Something to note - the 49ers are so inconsistent that they haven't won 3 games in a row all season.

There's always a first for everything (i.e. the SF Giants winning their last 6 games in a row to close out the playoffs - but that's baseball). However, with Justin Smith probably losing effectiveness with his partially torn triceps, key season ending injuries to the team, a shotty FG kicker situation, a QB in Kaepernick who is still learning the ropes, and suspect playcalling, I honestly don't know how the 49ers will go all the way, but I truly hope I'm wrong. Oh, and did I mention the 49ers have yet to win 3 games consecutively this season?

Hate to say it but I think the Packers will beat us in the second round but go on to lose to the Broncos in the Super Bowl.

Hope I am wrong though since my roommate is a Packer fan and I will never hear the end of it
