If Peyton retires, I definitely think Dalton can catch and surpass his record of one and downs in the playoffs. Peyton has 9. Dalton has 4 and is still young.
And now we get the news:
Report: Peyton Manning has a torn right quadriceps | ProFootballTalk
I imagine this contributed to those ducks he threw in Cincinnati on MNF. Particularly Dre's pick when Peyton through it off his damaged back leg.
Flacco was on a great stretch in the playoffs. I was ready to give him as due as a clutch QB, but that last INT was a headscratcher. It was 2nd and 5 deep in NE territory with close to 2 mins left. there are times to gamble, but that wasn't one of them. that was inexcusable imo. that doesn't take entirely away from his great playoff run, but it does put a little dent in it for me.
Dalton has limitations Flacco doesn't as far as arm talent. i don't think he has Flacco's celing for topnotch QB play, but he can get better imo
If you and your team were covering up an injury that severe, don't leak it to the media the day after a playoff loss.
Still, that's unbelievable Manning was able to play with that type of injury. he's as tough as any QB to ever play the game
I don't even know who Denver's backup QB even is, lol.
The one, and only, Brock Osweiler...............
Wow! The entire Broncos coaching staff has been let go..... This really looks like the end of Peyton Manning.
It also looks like a rebuild of the Broncos. That game in Denver next year just got a lot easier.
I think that's just the team or Peyton's people protecting his legacy. That was a bad performance yesterday.
lSo who wants a coach who loses to the Bengals on national tv?
Peyton is the same guy who had a 4th surgery on his neck and nobody knew about it for months. His people are pretty tight-lipped.
Both Luck and Wilson both played like Dalton yesterday, but neither will will get any blame. Wilson because he won, and Luck because he's the new golden boy.
Marvin and Andy as shitty as they are at least actually won a game against the Patriots
