Players you think might get cut this offseason (any team)

Who are some players you think might get cut this offseason? I'll start.

Jay Ratliff. The Cowboys are going to a 4-3, so he may be out. I always thought he was a bit overrated, but the Niners may need a NT (unfortunately a lot of teams do.

I just have a feeling that we'll get something, even though the teams know we are going to cut him. Timing may be important for some, especially the agent. Need to get Alex out there before that April 1st date. If he's traded before March 14th, we don't pay him anything.

True, I guess I read your post with an implication that we wouldn't - something that a lot of people said ("who would trade for him if he's obviously going to be cut" - the masses). My fault.

First Damon Bruce, and this morning Gary Radnich - both have mentioned that Culliver should not be brought back.

I know there are a few regs on here will point out that oh gee, he can be moved to FS or because they can revert to some stats they found on the web stating how he doesn't give up first downs and all. This can be debated, but if the Niners do let him walk, you won't be seeing many people shedding tears here in the Embarcadero...

Culliver didn't do a single thing right yesterday, and every time he was targeted he gave up huge plays. I hope Harbaugh told him to hitchhike back to SF.

Cully's young, not paid a whole lot, and is still a phenomenal physical specimen. He will be back next season. Remember how many wanted Kyle Williams gone after last season? Kyle actually contributed well this season. I think the Niners will give Cully at least one more season to show what he's made of.

It would be 10 times dumber though to allow him to play corner. I've said many times before, and for the 2049th time this season, he does not have the intincts needed to play the cornerback position. Just because you are a great athlete, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are equipped to play the position.
