He's still a capable defender and made 35% of his treys last season. He'd be a rotation player for 10-12mpg. Nothing major.

Why one over the other? They can get both. They don't play the same position. Melo is basically a 4 now and Gay is a 2/3 (or a 4 in super small line ups).

The Lakers aren't going to deal Schroder in a S&T. He is a UFA, there's absolutely no reason why he would help the Lakers out. If a team is interested in him, he'll just immediately sign over there.
