Or Jerrah can continue not to pay DP and bring Cuz to the Big D.
Nope Dak will get paid, I just wish it happened two years ago.

As for Cousins returning, I'm just being an ass.

As for your 2021 QB, I wouldn't trade the house that woukd include Young for Watson.

Maybe you go after Carr or see if Fields or Jones slip to you.

Yeah and I have bought numerous lotto tickets and ended up in the same place . Losing money and not winning
That's why it's better NOT to play! Spending money on hope instead of wisely investing it for the future doesn't leave people in the same place, it dashes their hopes and leaves them with less than they started out with.

It's formulaic, that good coach and good QB, equals winning in the NFL. I say it's a pretty wise investment to have both on your team.

I'd dig getting Watson, not down with giving up Young though. If that didn't work out I'd be OK acquiring Carr at the right price. Not sold on Fields and Jones isn't ringing a bell. Yeah, signing Dak a few years ago would've worked a lot better.

The article speculates that the 49'ers would give a 1st for Cousins, that way, the Vikings could package their #1's for a Watson deal. Only Kyle would be dumb enough to use a 1st on Cousins at this point in his career. That ship has sailed. To the point you two are discussing, I've broached the subject a couple of times with the nut hugging Cousins fans left over. Watson, going in year 5 is hands down better than Cousins. If you gave every OWNER in the league a choice to start their respective teams again (reset) all choose Watson over Cousins 32 out of 32 times. I liked Cousins while he was still here, now he is gone.
The beauty of the internet for you Richard is I can't wrap your nuts around you ears. If you want to be tough or play 5th grade name calling on here I can do it too. You want to play tough for real I am good with that too. People who can't argue with reason frequently have to go to name calling.

Long story short if you want to suggest the same thing to me face to face just let me know. I am glad to oblige.

The only reason you make the Watson move now is if he is the last ingredient to the Super Bowl ,
Having a top tier QB for the next 10-12 years thereby solidifying the game's most important position for a decade maybe more sounds like a damn good reason to me.

The Texans are in the position that they are because of stupidity.

Two NFL years do not meet any definition of "consistently." Two is a couple, always has been and this team has far more on hand right now than what Watson has played with this past season.

Finally, this, once again is NOT "just a few picks" It is the best offer that's been presented to date on this board. It's a win - win for both teams because we already know that we won't be able to pay and keep all of our defensive guys. We might as well get real about that and get long term value now.

First this year and next

3rd in 2022, and 2023

Matt Ioannidis and/or Daron Payne (They had the worse run stopping defense )

( If I have to sweeten the pot then our 3rd in 2021 in exchange for their 4th, we have an extra 3rd this year, SF)
And if I am the Texans I reject that trade

Mayock wants 2 firsts but I'll give him to you for a 1st and 2nd rounder.

Decent contract and he's still in his prime.

Unfortunately you are not because you only get the length of his contract

How about this one?

Texans receive:
DL Daron Payne (2 yr team control)
2021: 1st, 3rd, 3rd [Leaves WFT with 2, 4, 5, 6, 7]
2022: 1st, 2nd, 4th [Leaves WFT with 3, 5, 6, 7]
2023: Conditional swap of 1st rounders depending on who's is higher.

WFT receive:
QB Deshaun Watson

Or, you conduct business with your franchise QB like you say you are going to. Include him in future plans, listen, communicate and make the guy who leads the team to playoff games/Superbowl games feel like he has input. It's the least you can do. If you do, he likely signs another contract to stay with the team who WANTED him and the team who treated him with RESPECT.

You're gonna ride this Debbie Downer role till the wheels fall off that motor scooter eh.

So in other words, you have 5 years to work out another contract with Watson.

Of course you do.
of course they do , you arent going to hand out poor draft picks and non difference makers and think they will just jump at it

i dont see watson being moved until TC or later

if i am them i want to keep him
