So, mattola, what is your unbaised analysis of the first period?

Not Mattola (obvously), but I thought Columbus looked like the better team but Pittsburgh had some dangerous chances. I wouldn't give up yet. I can't count the number of times the Red Wings dominated play, way outshot teams in the playoffs, only to come up empty when the other team cashes in on their chances. Pittsburgh is more than capable of doing that and winning even with being outplayed.

Jackets made some poor choices and you just can't do that against Pittsburgh. One example; Tyutin overskates one in the corner, decides to rotate out (instead of clogging up on the boards) and a second later it's in the net. Malkin could pass the puck through the eye of a needle.

Jackets look like they are in a groove right now. Just keep at it boys. Some great forced turnovers. Keep those up.
