I don't like retaliation in general, but I'd have appreciated it if I were DeSmith. I wouldn't have been a fan of taking a wack from a guy who was already up 3 with 4 minutes left after I clearly had the puck covered up.

Don’t blame you if not on the Penguins I wouldn’t be a fan either. The cross check in general was stupid but with what just happened right before you knew it would happen. I am amazed it didn’t escalate more.

Kessel probably should have pulled the trigger, but it looks like the puck was bouncing as he tried to, and then he lost an angle and tried to go back the other way. Still might have been better to try to lift it in short side.

Kessel hasn't scored a goal the entire month of February.
