I want Riikola back in the lineup. I don't understand scratching him.
Totally agree. The only logic is maybe since Ruwedel played well his first game back to give him a few more games and to limit Riikola’s games played so he is fresher for the end of the season since he never played that long of a schedule? Really just throwing sh*t at the wall here as to logic.

ZAR is looking good in a top 6 role right now. That change last game looks good, hope it lasts.

I think it's time to go to a two-defenseman set on the top unit. Shultz to quarterback, and Letang in Kessel's spot. Guentzel on the top unit and Hornqvist on the second.

Geno is making an uncomfortable number of bad plays and decisions at the blue lines.

If there's one bright point tonight, Phil looks more himself. Skating better, looking to shoot when he has the puck instead of just deferring so much.

But two offensive zones by ZAR isn't great.

Kessel probably should have pulled the trigger, but it looks like the puck was bouncing as he tried to, and then he lost an angle and tried to go back the other way. Still might have been better to try to lift it in short side.
