Oh hey look, more aces.

Of course, we can't even hit Chris Capuano right now, so...

:burt:

Well, there's always hope, right?

Hmmm.... The box score shows cain as perfect through four innings already. Maybe we can be the victim of the first perfect game of 2012!

McDonald stopped it lol

Cant believe how bad we have been on offense, 5 starters under .200 and McDonald isnt one of them... 3 under .100

Seems like the lefties are having a hell of a time against Cain; Alvarez, Jones, Walker, and Presley have struck out 10 times.

That wasn't quite enough. Allow me to elaborate.

Lets see the Pirates lost 5-0, the Penguins forgot how to play defense and the Steelers bolstered their o-line by resigning Trai Essex and Doug Legursky.

All and all it seems like a great day in Pittsburgh sports!

Nothing like Walker, Alvarez and Jones helping Cains cause. 9 abs and 8 k's.

They need those three to hit for this team to be anywhere close to remotely competitive, maybe Zito will help the offense tomorrow?

Back to Alvarez, yeah it is early, but is it time to give up on him for a while and send him to AAA with his last option? Except the HR all his AB's resulted in outs without any good to the team by NOT advancing one runner.

Today is going a little better. 3-3 in the top of the sixth.

If Morton gives us one or two more scoreless innings, I'll call this a successful first game back for him. It might take a couple games for him to get his feel back, though.

Well, he won't get the chance, as Navarro is pinch hitting since there's a runner on second and two outs.

Watson got a little luck to get out of that inning.

After the way the LA series went, I'll take it. :thumb:

This home plate umpire has a tiny strike zone for both sides.

Grilli with a good inning.

Now let's score the go ahead run, then bring the Hammer down in the ninth and win this thing!
