but every team is now MAXIMUM 1 week away from the official start of training camp. a nucleur winter may as well be ending because i am FUCKING STOKED

Many of the Islanders top prospects are going to be in Boston the 15th & 16th for two games. From what I understand both Sequin & Niederreiter are expected to be in the lineups.

Unfortunately Garth Snow said it's unlikely that top prospect Kirill Petrov will be an Islander this season. He has two years remaining on his contract with AK Bars in the KHL.

The problem is the NHL doesn't have an agreement with the Russian Hockey Federation like they do with Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia & everyone else.

AK Bars has told Petrov if he want's out of his contract HE can buy it out. Where's he supposed to get 2 million bucks? The Islanders AREN'T allowed to buy out the contract or they already would have.
