Yeah, it surprised me early on when so many people looked at Martin as if the problem somehow stemmed from him. But as it goes on I realize that a lot of people think its actually okay to single people out for this type of treatment.

It is sad how easily people rationalize immoral behavior. Even before the details came out it was pretty clear that what was happening to Martin was not right. And people were all too happy to essentially say "Immoral behavior is ok because nfl/millionaire/300 lbs/it happens all the time/toughen up/ etc..."

He has horrible self esteem. A healthy self image doesn't encourage anything close to the type of conduct he has displayed. He's a weak person who has tried to prop himself up by putting down someone else. Calling his teammate a "half n bomb" is a good example of how weak he is. He's smart enough to be aware of the fact Martin is more intelligent and articulate than himself. But he's not smart enough to deal with the fact someone who he sees as less than himself is actually better. Im sure the anger in his texts and voicemails are due to Martin not reacting in the way he would like. Or not feeding RIs unhealthy ego.

The voicemail where he says "I'll kill you" was from April, I believe. The $15,000 payment for a trip Martin didn't take part in(this is where Incognito will face charges) was this summer. He paid fearing what would happen if he didn't. Can only assume as to why he didn't go on the trip.
