Dansby is still elite. He'll have half a dozen suitors. We can't afford the contract he'll get. The Bengals, while grossly overpaying for both Hawk and Maualuga (there were no other bidders in both cases), won't get in a bidding war at a position they feel they can adequate fill with mid-round and later draft picks, and unwanted Veterans.

He will be, and likely for a year. Very strange. He fizzled out in Minnesota. Don't see the fit here.

Guess it was only a 4-gm suspension. With all of his issues, I thought he already had the 4-gamer.

He played effectively at LB for us when he left. He showed himself to be a better cover LB than Maualuga, though it was a small sample size. He might be a beast for ST's and last LB/SS. Worth looking at for his versatility and we know now how to use him.

With the Patriots now able to run a quality 2 TE package with the trade for Bennett this afternoon, we'll need to players with good size and some coverage skills to match up with them. With Nelson unlikely back, Mays could be a great help under those conditions.

Let's see if he earns a spot on the 53-man roster. He's certainly worth a look. And, with the suspension, he can be the 54th man. It's good insurance.

If there's anyone who can light a fire under that lazy ass's butt, it's Zimmer. Good luck with that, Mike. Unlike here in Cincy, if he plays like crap, he not only will sit on the bench, but he might not even suit up. Zimmer doesn't care how much you make and nobody gets handed a job. They have to prove it every week.
