World juniors start tomorrow morning at 7am with Czech Republic (kase) and Russia (provorov, fazleev)!

Canada (konecny, sanheim), Sweden (lindblom, sandstrom) also play tomorrow! Go flyers!

And go USA!

Nhl network has, I think, all of the games. I'm going to tune in as much as I can. Fun hockey.

Has anybody watched any? Caught the second half of the Sweden/Switzerland game. Sandstrom was the backup, Lindblom looked dangerous on the PP but was pretty invisible at even strength. Lindblom had an even strength goal before I started watching though. Swedes won 8-3. Lindblom also hit the crossbar late.

Didn't catch any of the Russia/Czech game, Fazleev apparently had a nice assist though. Russians won 2-1 in a shootout.

USA/Canada at 1. Hoping to watch some of that one as well.

Also a tournament note, Kempe (Kings prospect and Lindlom's center) left the game. William Nylander also left the game.

Fazleev (fazleyev in your programs) did have a real nice assist. Good play at the blue line then good patience to send the puck in to the traffic.

Provorov hasn't stood out much, but he sure can skate.

Provorov and Fazleev both looked real sharp in OT. Fazleev is pretty tenacious on the forecheck. Provorov made some Czech dude look silly for trying to beat him one on one.

Kase has mostly only been noticeable doing bad things. In the crease to disallow a Czech goal, and an offsides in OT on an odd man rush.

Kase would fit in on the flyers though. Pretty mediocre shootout attempt. Also the czech's probably should have used Spacek instead of him haha.

After the replay, it was actually s pretty nice move. Good save by the goalie.

Looks like Konecny on the 3rd line, Sanheim on the 3rd pair for the Canadians. Konecny up a line from the pretoournament games, Sanheim on the same pair.

Konecny is flying around, not really achieving a ton though haha. Just got speared by DeBrincat who got tossed looks like. Sanheim I've barely seen. Not even sure of his number yet.

Had some distractions for the second half, but Konecny seemed to be on the ice a lot. I wonder what his TOI was. Neither Canadian seemed to be a difference maker good or bad.

And America won!

I missed the games yesterday (And today, not that there were any important ones) but it sounds like Sanheim is being totally misused. Little to no PP time for him is ridiculous

Watching the Swiss/Canada game.. Konecny and Sanheim barely playing. Konecny not really making use of his minutes, but Sanheim looks very good. Multiple dangles to create scoring chances.

Obviously very biased, but Lowry (Canada coach) doesn't seem to have a clue. He keeps putting Virtanen, Crouse, Barzal, and Marner out there and they're can't hit the broad side of a barn. Going to OT now.

Shootout now. 0 minutes in OT for Konecny and Sanheim combined. I think Konecny has only had 1 shift since the 2nd. Lowry is out of his mind.

Canada wins the shootout. They're going to get steamrolled by Sweden if they play like that again.

Box score hero today..

Lindblom with a goal and an assist as Sweden beat Denmark 5-0. Sandstorm with the 9 save shutout.

Kase didn't register a point in the czech's 5-3 win over Belarus.

Nhl network completely botched coverage of the Canada/Sweden game today. Was at 1 EST, they decided to show on tape delay instead so they could show winter classic practice. Then they showed Czech/Finland instead.

Sweden won 5-2.

Konecny had no points, but was awarded player of the game for Canada. Reading Twitter, looks like Lowry again shit the bed. Konecny barely played in the 3rd even though he was the player of the game. Had a real nice hit on timashov that I saw. Twitter is raving about his all around game though. Checking on Sanheim as well.
