I still say most of the media is over-estimating Laughton, and this article in particular, is severely underestimating Konecny (not even mentioned). As far as offensive upside goes, I'd put Konecny at a 9 and Laughton at a 4.

I've got a sneaky feeling that once Laughton gets going offensively and actually learns how to put up any kind of offense in the NHL he is going to be pretty good. Hopefully that can happen by the second half of this year.

Right now, Sanheim leads all WHL defenders with 12 points through 7 games. He is tied for 5th among all players. Provorov is tied for 2nd among defenders with 11 points and tied for 12th overall.

Their teams have combined for only two regulation losses through fourteen games.

Konecny just needs to add some muscle this year. The future looks much better than it has in a long time.

I already feel like Laughton is growing game by game into possibly a top five forward on this team.

It just saddens me that Giroux may be on the downside of his career by the time this team finally shapes up and starts dominating via our new recruits. I hope it doesn't take more than 3 years, but it certainly could.
