Don't see how Sanheim is getting reviewed by anyone at the WJC since he has been buried on the 3rd pairing since the tourney started.

Denmark missed upsetting Russia by about 45 seconds. Provorov and Fazleev each had 2 assists. I watched one shift, the game winner for the Russians in OT. Provorov and Fazleev had a gorgeous shift and set up of the game winner.

Lindblom added an assist. It's 5-0 Sweden. Wish nhl network would switch to the Canada game...

Konecny continues where he left off yesterday, scored to put Canada up 1-0. Hopefully we'll get a highlight here.

Nhl network screwing up some more. Not showing the Canada/Finland game in favor of a rerun.

Based on Twitter, looks like Canada would probably elect Konecny as their president of the vote was today. Beautiful goal and flying around the ice. Leafs fans tweeting about how the leafs should have passed on Marner and taken Konecny.

Canada loses. Seems like a total mismanagement of players. A shame Sanheim and possibly Konecny's final World Juniors was wasted.

Canada falls 6-5 to the Finns. Sanheim picked up a late assist. But Konecny and Sanheim both were benched late in the game, much to the chagrin of Canada's Twitter community it seems. Primarily Konecny.

Was pulling for London, but just hope Konecny can go anywhere competitive. Still think a Konecny trade is writing on the wall that he isn't going back to juniors next season

Agreed. I think Konecny is a flyer next year. Possibly Provorov too. Sanheim could probably also challenge, but it seems like he may be ahl bound next yea. Age probably plays a factor. Provorov can't play in the ahl, can't improve in the whl, will probably give him the inside track.

In a way I could see Hextall breaking our hearts and sending Konecny back to the OHL, but I have doubt that Konecny will be ready for a top 6 spot next season.

No idea what happens with the defensemen. A case can be made both ways for Sanheim and Provorov.

Now that the Flyers have kept Ghost up, I can't imagine them sending another young player back to the minors if he performs above expectations - Flyers do need a boost in the forward group and if he plays well he deserves to be on the team when the time comes

I think one of the young d-men would have to make the team since there are some contracts expiring - Luke Schenn will be gone, Brandon Manning would be unseated by one of those young guys and I'm not sure what they do with Evgeny Medvedev

I just don't think Konecny has anything left to gain from the OHL. He's tearing it up offensively, plays all situations, is the captain, played well at World Juniors. Ideally he'd be in the AHL next season, but he won't be old enough...

I can see Provolov and Konecny really pushing for spots next season.
IMHO, Sanheim will be in the AHL next season. While Sanheim may have made advances in his game and is more advanced at least in the offensive side of the game than Morin, he needs to physically mature. Unlike Provolov and Ghost he is not SO advanced in any facet that he can "learn on the job" in the NHL (I think, could be wrong, haven't seen enough of him this season).

Sandstrom getting lit up today in the bronze medal game. 7-2 USA. From twitter, sounds like the Swedes are experiencing a serious hangover from their loss to Finland yesterday.

Team USA looked good, more energy and focus than the Swedes. Sandstrom really was hung out to dry for much of the game.

At least Sandstrom should get his real shot next year. Lindblom's points dropped a bit after last year's performance but I guess losing Nylander doesn't help.

Can't wait to see Provorov on the big stage today.
