Stolarz and the Knights won game 5 in overtime, winning the series 4 games to 1. Stolarz made 37 saves (and let in 4) in the victory.

The Knights go on to the OHL championship, with the first game taking place this Friday, May 3rd. The game will be broadcast on Sportsnet ONE Broadcast Schedule - Sportsnet.ca

I'm guessing you can stream it from somewhere if you live on the warm side of the 49th parallel?

Their opponent is unknown just yet; I'm hoping it's Belleville, as they have PK Subban's younger brother Malcolm in goal. He's leads the league with a 1.93 GAA, and it would be great to contrast the play of him and Stolarz.

That would be awesome having Stolarz go up against Subban, especially considering he was one of the top goalie prospects in the draft just a year ago.

Stolars on the tube

London Knights won the OHL championship last night in game 7 of the series, and will play their first game of this year's Memorial Cup on Friday.

Game will be telecast on Sportsnet Broadcast Schedule - Sportsnet.ca

Captain obvious remark: this will be great experience for our goaltending prospect, Anthony Stolarz. But that's assuming he plays; Stolarz didn't play in the last 3 games, as he gave up 5 goals in games 3 and 4 (both of which were losses).

More good news: London will be hosting the Memorial Cup in 2014, so the Knights are guaranteed a spot in next year's national championship as well; more good experience for Stolarz, assuming he's still with the Knights next year.

Just once cant we get lucky and have a goalie pan out.

Halifax and Portland have both slaughtered London and Stolarz.

Last night, London's starting goaltender allowed 5 goals on 11 shots in the first period; Stolarz took over in the second and allowed 4 more, with 22 saves.

Not exactly the confidence boosting experience some might have hoped for... Not sure how the tourny works exactly, but I believe London must win their next game, or their done.

Still, probably a little early to write the kid off just yet :)

Today we signed Baie-Comeau overage defenseman Maxim Lamarche.

We also signed Austrian winger Michal Raffl.

Flyers prospect Fredric Larsson also got a Rocky tattoo today. (Possible interest in coming to play in Philadelphia one day?)

Good signings and apparently quite a few teams wanted Rafl. It came down to us and the Preds. Now we have our future Tomas Vanek:)

Eriksson signed with Vancouver last night. Hope that doesn't turn in to a huge mistake by the flyers

I read that and all I can think is fuck this is going to come back and bite us in the ass. Noivenen apparently sucks and we got rid of him. The Flyers have to be the most fucking impatient team in the entire NHL.:gaah:

It's that time of year again! Camp time.

The Schedule and Roster

I won't be attending this year, but as always I'm looking forward to reports of who looks good, especially Morin and Hagg.

Two guys in particular I look forward to hearing about are Larsson and Leier. Potential really solid late rounders, which would really make our 2012 draft look amazing.
