Laughton scored his first ahl goal yesterday. Shorthanded. Hes got 2 points in 2 games.

Also, Yale beat hartzell's quinipac for the title last night. Hartzell was a Hobey baker finalist and will probably sign with an NHL team here shortly. The flyers are rumored to be the front runner after he attended camp last summer. He was phenomenal this season and in the tournament. He's be a great get for the flyers.

I know the Flyers will never draft him, but I'm starting to get quite interested in Nichuskin.

Mother fucker. Hartzell signed with the pens. Ray Shero is really starting to piss me off.

akeson, konan, mcginn, and laughton were called up yesterday.. "black aces" that get called up after the AHL season ends

laughton definitely won't play because it would burn a year of his ELC, and i doubt any of the other 3 will play unless someone gets hurt.. but it will be good for them to get some practices in at the NHL level

Mcginn should definately be playing instead of Knuble

sounds like he kinda fits the flyers mold (bigger, tougher winger).. but i would rather them target someone else i think.. i want an impact playmaker or scorer, not a power-forward type player, if they draft a forward

i'm not opposed to trading down either, depending on the return of course.. the flyers need some impact players in their system, no doubt.

Stolarz is apparently a monster tonight. 17 saves in the first period.

My apologies if this was posted previously, but London Knights game highlights can be found here: London Knights

Of course, the highlights focus on the goals, but nevertheless I still find it interesting to watch the goals Stolarz lets in, as you can judge them as being good or soft.

What would be a great money saver is if he could come up and be a cotributer next season.

thanks slayer, i'll probably check those out during lunch.. san filipo was there last night and tweeting about it, he made it sound like stolarz didn't have much of a chance on any of the goals.. also said the plymouth GM said "well, that kid is the difference" in reference to stolarz when the shots were approximately 33-10 and london was up 2-0

What would be a great money saver is if he could come up and be a cotributer next season.

i wouldn't get your hopes up on that one.. he's definitely showing a lot of promise right now, but the speed of the game between levels normally means goalies take a while.. i would expect stolarz will go back to london next year, and possibly play for the phantoms the year after.. i wouldn't expect too much from him until 3 years from now

of course, i'm far from an expert and he could shock the shit out of us and be the starter next year.. i just don't think that's likely

i forgot he signed his ELC already.. he may be in the mix next year.. though, it's probably not the best idea for his development i dont think

just more exciting things about stolarz, since moving to london his stat line reads

24-4-3 with 2 shutouts, a .928 sv% and a 2.23 GAA

obligatory grain of salt: london was the best team in the OHL this season.. but still, that's freakin nasty!

I'm hoping Flyers Prospect Tony Stolarz stays in the OHL next year, Phantoms the year after, and then he finally makes it to the big show in 2015-2016.

What would happen if Mason plays like he did as a rookie and then stolarz is ready to come to the NHL in 2 years?

some teams might envy the flyers goaltending for the first time ever. lets pray that that happens.

Stolarz and the Knights won game 5 in overtime, winning the series 4 games to 1. Stolarz made 37 saves (and let in 4) in the victory.

The Knights go on to the OHL championship, with the first game taking place this Friday, May 3rd. The game will be broadcast on Sportsnet ONE Broadcast Schedule - Sportsnet.ca

I'm guessing you can stream it from somewhere if you live on the warm side of the 49th parallel?

Their opponent is unknown just yet; I'm hoping it's Belleville, as they have PK Subban's younger brother Malcolm in goal. He's leads the league with a 1.93 GAA, and it would be great to contrast the play of him and Stolarz.
