Charges against Cousins and his junior teammates have been withdrawn.

Looks like cousins will suit up for the phantoms at some point this weekend

Great news. I want to see what this kid has.

He was actually drafted by Carolina. Came over in the boosh/pither deal. From what I've read, he's got all the physical tools you could want, but he's not a very smart hockey player.

Like you said though, the more the merrier. Hopefully one of these dudes pans out.

One Flyers’ prospect that has essentially moved his team throughout the OHL postseason single-handedly is goaltender Anthony Stolarz. After they swept the Saginaw Spirit in the first round, the top-seeded London Knights find themselves up 2-0 over the Kitchener Rangers in the second round.

In London’s six games this postseason, Stolarz is 6-0-0 with one shutout and only eight goals against. Philly’s goaltender is posting better numbers than Malcolm Subban, who is 6-2-0 with 13 goals against in eight games.

/also that's a great article. good find JJG

* Center Scott Laughton, the Flyers' first round pick in the 2012 Draft, has been suspended by the OHL for a checking-from-behind incident in Game 2 of the Oshawa Generals' playoff series with the Barrie Colts. Laughton was ejected from the game for drilling Barrie right wing Zach Hall from behind, leaving him bleeding and dazed. Laughton, who served a 10-game suspension earlier this season and later spent a five-game stint with the Flyers at the start of the 2013 season, has probably played his last game of junior hockey. After losing 4-0 yesterday, Oshawa trails 3-0 in the series.

from meltzer this morning.. looks like laughton may need some discipline lessons.. but he could also be playing for the phantoms here shortly

I read your post first and then the article. when you said he needs discipline lessons i thougt he was bad in the locker room im glad to hear its only checking from behind. Our whole team can use discipline in that area. I remember over the course of this season a lot of guys on our team have done that sometimes called sometimes we got away with it.

oh ya, i just meant in getting suspended.. that'll be his 2nd suspension this year.. it's hard to judge the severity though, they're a lot more stringent in the CHL than they are in the NHL i think

read a couple tweets last night that said cousins and alt have joined the phantoms.

laughton's OHL season came to an end last night, so he will probably join the phantoms here soon too.

should be an interesting camp this summer.. i wonder if laughton and/or cousins will make the flyers opening night roster

laughton officially joining the phantoms on an ATO (amatuer try out i think is what that stands for)

cousins and laughton will both be in either the AHL or NHL next season

Hopefully they are good enough and come to the NHL and make a huge impact.

Flyers have signed Petr Straka to an ELC. (Not related to Marty)

He has had 4 seasons in the Q. Two of them were quite lackluster, but this year and his draft year (2010) he kicked ass. I love this signing.

People seem excited about him for sure. Word is they beat 11 other teams for his services. Great skater with really good hands, not the best in his own zone, seems to be the scouting report. 80 something points in 50 something games this year in the Q (league is known for offense)

2nd round pick of the BJs in 2010, they opted not to sign him last summer so he hit free agency.

Boy, the Blue Jackets really can't get anything right. This kid is currently the third leading scorer in the QMJHL playoffs with 18 points in only 8 games.

Their loss is our gain, They owe us for BOB.

Rofl, so true. I'm looking at his stats and the way Bob has performed this season, we'd gladly give up Bryz, Mason and the picks we got in return just to have him back...

The Blue Jackets and drafting scoring European wingers just doesn't work. Zherdev, Filatov, Straka, and Voracek (Not really a scorer though)
