With this move the Pens now have 5.6 million in space. However, that's not including Jeffrey. So if we take off around 750K for him, we'd have 4.5-7 million left. That's to sign Jags (holding out hope) and TK or his replacement. TK has to be a lower number or it's not worth it. Jags hopefully comes for about 2, so the rest is for the last winger, whether that's TK or someone else.

I agree, but look at the UFA crop for tomorrow, and look at the teams that need to sign a lot of money to get to the cap? Bad contracts are gonna be traded a lot tomorrow I'd guess. I really hope this means we can trade Niskanen for something decent. A decent player for a 1.5 cap hit. Trade him for picks, save some money.
