Just lowered the price on himself to get him to LA. Dream scenario for the Lakers. Get a deal done, throw Deng, Russell and a pick at them and call it a day. Replace Russell through the draft.

PG-13 would be the replacement for Russell. They can attend to other needs with the draft.

I could see him staying with the Spurs. Probably 75/25 or even 80/20 there.
Eh.....You might be right.

But, they'd have to have a reasonable shot to beat the Warriors, or he'll bolt.

This move is more about a childhood dream and lifestyle.

No offense Texans.

But, San Antonio is not in the same hemisphere as LA.

If Lebron can leave a Finals Team to go home, so can Paul.

Yeah, the Lakers need to figure out what the absolute most they are willing to give up to get it done now is and then make an offer that is much lower. It's all going to come down to how desperate the Pacers are to get something for him and how badly they want to move on from this.

The good thing for the Lakers is that they are so young that time is literally on their side. They weren't going to the playoffs this season anyway, so they can afford to wait on George if that's what they need to do.

The patience aspect is what worries me about Magic and Pelinka not having FO experience. As I said earlier, I think they are smart enough to know that they are in the drivers seat. But they may not be experienced enough to make the Pacers sweat it out.

If they aren't patient, I don't think it'll be to the extent that it sets the team back (unlike Short Buss), but why give up more than they have to?
This won't be Masai Uriji fleecing the Knicks for the umpteen time....lol

Which is another reason I don't believe the Toronto rumors.

I think Portland, Knicks and the Cavs might be desperate enough.

But, not Miami, Toronto, Boston, Spurs or Chicago.

Doc's a fucking idiot.

Luckily, we have Jack shit to trade...lol

I wonder if LeBron and George have been in communication.

It is in the Lakers' and Pacers' best interest to make a deal now. Granted, they won't have to pay much, but they need to shed some salary and the Pacers would benefit from losing games this year. They should be able to get either Randle or Russell out of a trade. Lakers would insist on including either Deng or Mozzy at this point.

Yep.

Didnt You Get To Pick Where You Wanted To Work?
I did... I started my career as a high school teacher but decided that real estate is where the money is and I've never looked back.

I'm super excited....I can see a draft day trade brewing....

Been a rough June for the Wiggster. It's like all of the shit he's talked, about pretty much everything, is all coming back on him at once. :pound:

I think we take Jackson with the 2nd pick....just imagine a potential lineup of.....

G-Clarkson
G-George
F-Jackson
F-Randle
C-Zublacka

I like that. And Clarkson not being a true PG doesn't matter because we'd have 3 guys who can all handle the ball in Clark, George, and Jackson....
