I was really worried about this game until Ben Rothlesberger got injured in yesterday's game against the Dolphins. The Steelers have had horrible games against the NFL doormats over the past couple of years. They usually come back with a vengeance after a loss like yesterday's. Without Big Ben running the team, I don't think the Steelers offer anywhere near the threat they do with him.

I hate to see this. I really wanted to see the Patriots face a tough team with an above average offense. I'm not sure what we'll see with the Steelers ' backup.

Patriots should win this one.

Barring injuries, I don't see how any team can keep the Pat's O down all 4 quarters.

The o-line still scares me. Seahawks, Rams and Broncos all get at the the QB. Vikings D is damn good.

Yes, for a period of time they will but all 4 quarters? At some point Blount's gonna smash your face and Jullian's gonna drive ya batty slipping around while you're trying to cover Rob and Marty. Get all that accomplished and you have 2.2 seconds left to keep Brady from dumping it off to White.

The Pats should put a beating on the Steelers with Ben out especially. Blount in a wheelchair would rush for over 100 yds easy if Ajayi can run for 200+ yds on them. This will get ugly I expect.

A minor point in preparing for the Steelers, but BB just filled the two open spots on his practice squad with Tyler Gaffney and Glenn Gronkowski. I had hoped he would have added bodies at thin positions like offensive tackle or center.

I have nothing but intense admiration for Ben. He got his meniscus blown out, goes to the sideline and gets some spit and duct tape and goes back in for two quarters. I can't even begin to imagine what his leg feels like today.

I expect the Steelers will play up much better against the Pats. They have historically played badly against lower level opponents. It's like they expect the other guys to play bad and just can't ever pick themselves up once they get down. I always blame the coaches for poor preparation.

The Steelers typically do rebound well after a bad loss, and the DEF has shown to be much better at home. So...I think they will play better, especially on DEF. I don't think this NE team has a great DEF, but BB will figure out a way to confine Bell and put the game on Landry's arm who is simply not worthy of being a starting NFL QB...he will throw a pick or two.

I would take the Steelers in this game with Ben at the helm, but as it stands, the Pats will most likely smoke the PIT this week....I picked 34-20....hope I'm wrong, but just keeping it real.

Ben Rothlesberger could miss 4-6 weeks after surgery. Injuries fucking suck.

The Patriots defense still gives up a ton of long balls to receivers and we all know AB loves those. I am more "confident" in this game without Big Ben (not like I like he is hurt) but if he was playing I would have given this game a "L" for the Patriots. Now I'm 61.5% a "w" for the pats

I think BB will stack the box, and Haley will be intent on not allowing Landry to "lose" the game so he will still try to run Bell into a stacked box resulting in a lot of 3rd and passing downs and Landry will throw at least one pick.

Equally as bad based on last week...Blount could go for a buck 50, and Gronk and Bennett could go for a buck 50 each.

I do think the run DEF will be better, but young secondary will get torched...I'm more like 85% L for PIT.

Play action with work against the patriots because they will first try to stop Bell and then AB 2nd

Agreed...If I were Haley, I would throw caution to the wind and let Landry be the hero or the goat because the Steeler pass rush has been mostly weak, and the LBs in coverage have been terrible...the CB/S have actually played okay and they were thought to be the weak link.

I'm actually more concerned about Brady putting up 30+ than I am NE shutting down the Steeler OFC.

I am a little worried about the D since the LB are dinged up this week and last week, Landry could throw for a couple hundred yards here. Though I am hoping Brady will throw more and more tds

It sucks that we can't play the Steelers with BB at the helm. I honestly think the Pats could beat the Steelers if they had their starting qb. Maybe we will meet in the playoffs
