The problem is he is so raw that its really hard to tell if he has enough potential or not. He is still really struggling with understanding what he is seeing pre snap. He often gets the protection wrong, resulting in a sack or pressure. Since we have him, we might as well kick the tires and at least try and figure out what we have got. He certainly has the arm strength. He is also more mobile than I expected (not yesterday, of course). When he is decisive, he makes good throws. He seems like a smart kid. So, I have hope and am also not labeling him a bust. My concern is that we could be here this time next year and still wondering if he can make it, just because he has so far to go.That might be part of it. I am listening to Doc Walker who saw it similar to me and more so emphasized where was that in the 1st quarter. He is not putting all the blame on Haskins, he believes some of it is coaching also.
I am not putting the kid down or calling him a bust. Just inexperienced. Listen to his press conference when he talked about his ankle yesterday and references back to HS. You don't hear a lot of pro football players think back to college but Dwayne only had one year of college football which is where the inexperience comes in.
One of the best to do it has earned the right not to be belittled when he misses an occasional WR. Haskins does have serious accuracy issues.
One of the best to do it misses a wide open Wr .
yet if Haskins does this we get Mcnabb threads
the guy has to be allowed to grow .

Oh, I think we will, too. I think we already have seen some improvement. It doesn't help that he has really no TE to work with at all. Every young QB needs a TE.Right now he is Jason Campbell at qb .i think an off-season and TC , we will see improvement
