Considering he has played only a handful of games, and prior to that he was the scout team QB, he is learning game by game and has met expectations.
I said this last week and saw it again yesterday. Haskins plays better in an uptempo offense. When they are in hurry up, he seems to not think so much and just play. This is the good and the bad and demonstrates Haskins inexperience. For almost the entire game he was well below average. Final drive (down by two scores and going against a keep the play in front of you zone) he drives the team down the field. You could also say when they really needed it he delivered. Something you have to like is he does not look like the game is too big for him or he gets nervous at any point in the game. That is a very good sign.
I would like to see him get with a guy that can coach the position and see how he does. None of the rookie QBs are setting the world on fire. He is about where you would expect him to be right now.
So far you are right about this . I say so far only because I think he will grow more . 100%. Agree with you hereI said this last week and saw it again yesterday. Haskins plays better in an uptempo offense. When they are in hurry up, he seems to not think so much and just play.
