Considering he has played only a handful of games, and prior to that he was the scout team QB, he is learning game by game and has met expectations.

This is the good and the bad and demonstrates Haskins inexperience. For almost the entire game he was well below average. Final drive (down by two scores and going against a keep the play in front of you zone) he drives the team down the field. You could also say when they really needed it he delivered. Something you have to like is he does not look like the game is too big for him or he gets nervous at any point in the game. That is a very good sign.

I would like to see him get with a guy that can coach the position and see how he does. None of the rookie QBs are setting the world on fire. He is about where you would expect him to be right now.
I said this last week and saw it again yesterday. Haskins plays better in an uptempo offense. When they are in hurry up, he seems to not think so much and just play.

He is playing like a 7th rounder . But he is ahead of what I expect from a guy drafted at his position

Funny I really don’t see the false start there. However I think I did see it few times in the game that wasn’t called

That might be part of it. I am listening to Doc Walker who saw it similar to me and more so emphasized where was that in the 1st quarter. He is not putting all the blame on Haskins, he believes some of it is coaching also.

I am not putting the kid down or calling him a bust. Just inexperienced. Listen to his press conference when he talked about his ankle yesterday and references back to HS. You don't hear a lot of pro football players think back to college but Dwayne only had one year of college football which is where the inexperience comes in.
