I know they get respect, but I'm not sure our D gets all the credit it deserves......

8 penalties for 86 yards. Not ecstatic about that.

The TD pass to Crabtree in the 2nd quarter may have been the best pass I've seen Kaepernick throw so far. Wow. Just saw it again.

That 3rd down to VD in the Bears' game and the TD to Crabby in the seam against that Pats were pretty top.

8 penalties for 86 yards. Not ecstatic about that.

Some of those were just ridiculous though. Pass Interference on Culliver for the pass Rodgers threw out of bounds. The personal foul on Dashon for hitting a RB who was still fighting for yards. Probably the worst, Brown getting called for PI when Jordy Nelson pushed him off thinking the pass was going to be back shoulder but instead he pushed Brown to where the ball was going.

I expected lots of penalties against the 49ers in this game, so I'm not worried. The refs always do stuff like the above mentioned penalties to try and give GB wins.

Monte Poole:

That @Kaepernick7 is adding Twitter followers faster than anybody since AJ McCarron's girlfriend proves people paid attention 2night.

I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these records/stats from this one. Incredible.

49ers twitter: The #49ers were the first team in #NFL history to have two 100-yard rushers & one 100-yard receiver in a playoff game. (via

Matt Maiocco:

RB Frank Gore had X-rays (he wouldn't tell me on what portion of his body), but he said he checked out fine and is feeling good.

The more I think about it, the pick 6 might have been a blessing in disguise. Happening so early in his first game, get it out of the way. It was bound to happen at some point. The media would have kept talking about it. Now, it should be a non-issue. Dead and gone, like the Pack.

Eric Branch:

Packers CB Charles Woodson on in-game adjustments: “We didn’t make any adjustments. It wasn’t good out there today.”

I'm tired of some players saying this. I'm INCREDIBLY tired of it when most fans think they know what they're talking about when they say this.

Not to be negative, but someone needs to be in charge of keeping the chicken wings away from Delanie Walker before next week's game. Or at least get him some wet-naps.

He learned that chicken grease helps big time at the Darrell Jackson school of catching.

In the heart of the defensive action was Justin Smith, getting double teammed as if he wasn’t playing with a partially torn left triceps. Smith repeatedly said afterward that he feels good even though it was “weird” to play with a brace. Of course it was — Smith prefers his arms to be bare. He was the only player other than quarterbacks and specialists to not wear gloves, as has been his career M.O.
