This whole argument can be summed up rather easily.

The Bengals love Dalton. Regardless of what anyone thinks on this board, he is NOT going anywhere. Even if the Bengals fail to go to the playoffs this year, he's not going anywhere. The ONLY way they would consider looking at another QB is if he regresses from his previous years' stats, and honestly, I don't see that happening.

So, whether or not he's got the arm strength, or deep % or whatever anyone wants to argue about, it's all a moot point because the Bengals organization love him, and are building behind him. Let's move on because this can be an argument that lasts all season with no resolve.

Now you just started an arguement for these retards on how bad management and coaching is. If they can't see it...BLAH BLAH BLAH.

At least you did transition the argument now. LOL

Yep. That is a whole other argument, but it still holds truth with Dalton. He is going nowhere. Anything short of passing for 2,000 yards and 25 INT's, they aren't bringing in anyone else to "replace" or "Challenge" him.

I disagree with this 100%. Katie aint Mikey. They have no problems dumping bad players now.

Problem is, if this is an actual problem, may be for some, I really, truely believe Dalton is going to go for this year:

64%+ Completion Percent / 3800+ yards / 30+ TDs

After one of those, he is for sure not going to go anywhere. I honestly can't believe how many people actually root against him.

Agreed, but they dump bad players of little consequence. They aren't dumping guys who they've banked on who were bad.

They are building this offense around Dalton. One bad year isn't going to make them dump him any less than if AJ had a really bad year.

For those of you wanting to dump Dalton......Where do you propose we find someone better? We aren't going to trade for one. One isn't going to hit the FA market. We won't have a top 10 pick to take one with. Where is it coming from?

2nd pick to DC for Kirk Cousins....I think he could do the same or better.....More moxy to me....Bleeds leadership more than Andy....Just feel it...Call it an opinion...When Kirk gets a starting job we will get to really see...

Yet, he has done jack shit and doesn't have the resume that Dalton has.

hurt corners....pass rush off to a slow start plus Rodgers can move...HOW DO WE BEAT THESE MOFO's?!?!?!?! After watching my team for 2 weeks Im most definitely concerned...I called a victory in this game..but I may be wrong as hell.....we will see...Prediction on Friday.....

WE HAVE TO RUN THE BALL IN THIS GAME AND KEEP THE OFFENSE OFF THE FIELD!

Nah. Our run defense has been pretty stout. Our secondary is going through injury issues. Might as well start thrashing them right out the gates.

They are building this offense, period. Not around Dalton, not around anyone. Sans QB, there might not be a better offense in the league. And there is not a legitimate starting QB in this league that in this offense wouldn't put up at the very least the numbers Dalton is putting up right now.

Tim Tebow would excel in this offense, Kyle Orton would excel in this offense, Blaine Gabbert would excel in this offense, the only QBs that wouldn't excel in this offense are Dalton and Mark Sanchez, and that's just because Mark Sanchez is too busy banging dollar hookers who live in cardboard boxes to care.

1. Kirk Cousins isn't better than Dalton. He is essentially Andy Dalton Jr.

2. Every QB could not thrive in this offense. Gabbert couldn't. Josh Freeman would still blow. Jake Locker? Nope. Christian Ponder. Uh uh.

Really? Because I could sweat that just about every article from the off-season and training camp was about getting more weapons FOR ANDY. That's all everyone talked about was building more talent around Andy, doing this for Andy, drafting this guy for Andy...

Look, you don't like Dalton...that's fine. Really, it doesn't bother me at all. Everyone has players they like, don't like.

He's going nowhere.

if you want to see Andy Dalton play well, trade him to Cleveland.

with nothing expected of him, and no pressure, he'd probably do great and screw up their #1 draft pick plan.

SO what you're saying is that there is maybe 5 to 10 QB's that you wouldn't rather have than Dalton? Aside from the obvious ones I'd take Cutler, Bradford, Alex Smith and Tannehill over Dalton in a second if given the chance.

Isn't Dalton already pretty much Alex Smith?

Tannehill absolutely. Cutler, meh I've never been a fan, but he has more arm talent. Smith, nah. Bradford. about the same. I'd say there are 13-14 QB's I'd absolutely take over him, probably 5-7 I'd debate on and then 10-12 I absolutely wouldn't.

And that isn't the point I've been trying to make at all. The point I've been trying to make is where do we get someone better? We aren't going to trade for someone, one isn't going to be on the FA market. Do you want to try and spend a late 1st or a late 2nd on one when we have other holes that need filled too? LT, WR, S, CB, SLB.

Did I hurt your feelings?

Find me once where I even suggested he was going anywhere. I'm not as delusional as some people around here.

Now, try to follow this simple concept if you can:

Getting a QB more weapons does not equate to building AROUND that QB.

The pieces are there for ANY QB to come in and take the reins easily. Players aren't being brought in to tailor-fit around Dalton. They're being brought in to expand the offensive system/scheme.
