Hawks fans whats up with our O …. I LOVED the way our running game came to life but a couple of things I'm concerned about … 1. WHY does Wilson never keep on the option anymore ? It seemed like we really had that working for us last year and during this game it was there more than once... Also with our passing attack it seems like Wilson has been a little off and not wanting to force the issue… I know the weather was JACKED so it had a factor but this has been kinda happening the last several weeks…

I don't even remember when was the las game we had a good effective offensive game. Even during the giants game, the offense didn't exactly clicked.

We had 4 of the leagues top defenses in the division round of the NFC starting today. It won't get any easier from here, but give them credit. Also look at the weather. They didn't throw in the 1st and 3rd quarter when the wind was in our faces and limited throws in the other two when the wind was at our backs.

I'm not too worried about the offense, but the defense sure did allow them back in it. I mean you had a heck of a lead in the 4th and made another score and still let them have a shot at getting back in it. Brees was tearing it up like crazy.

You can't have both a prevent defense AND an ultra conservative offense. You need to dominate at something at this level.

This team believe it or not is really missing Rice right now. I can not believe i said that but it really does hold some water. Also think about it, all season we have not seen the production we saw last season. The Offense is not clicking and i don't want to hear " look at the defenses we have faced" that's an excuse. The Fact they have been playing elite defenses means to me they should be improving but they have not improved AT ALL.

My buddy and I has talked about this all season! And even today, it seems to me Rice brings a whole new dynamic to this offense that we've seem to miss this year. The offense looked great while harvin was in but change drastically after he was out. We missed Rice!

Missing Rice? Seems like we were missing Rice when he was starting. Our offense just hasn't been clicking all year, time for it to wake up.

No disrespect to Baldwin or Tate but Rice commands that respect on the field that changes the make up of this offense. I could be wrong but it's jus opinion.

Passing game has to be better. Been saying this for weeks. Hopefully Harvin will be in there next week because having him gives a lot more options. Russell Needs to be better, he missed at least five throws today, alot of them on 3rd down. Whether its the Panthers or Niners next week, it going to get that much more difficult. We need #3 if we are going to bring this thing home.

it falls on bevell for calling the wrong plays at the wrong time. nut being able to score a td from the 3 is a symptom of bad play calling.

Agree with this most of the time. However if Wilson cant accurately throw a simple slant on a 3rd down, then then it really doesnt matter what plays are called.

I really tried to avoid a bevell conversation, but I agree!

I thought in the first half the offensive line was protecting Russell really well on passing plays. Second half wasn't a matter of protection it was just a matter of executing third down plays. Our receivers just weren't getting open and every time we did a play action I felt like it was playing in the advantage of the defense because Russell was turning right into the pressure of the defensive end.

I think defenses have kinda figured out our passing offense. They know that we love to throw the sideline jump balls...so they have taken that out. They know that we like to go to the quick slants on third and shorts...they took that out.

I will say though...in the first half with Percy out there...the saints had a hard time figuring out who to defend and who to shift focus to and that really opened up some plays...even though we werent able to capitalize on the possessions to score more tds...the one td run by marshawn in the first half...percy ran out to the left for a fake screen and that took the safety's attention off for a split second and allowed Marshawn room to rumble into the end zone

We have run that play all year to Tate and it has worked very few times. Why continue to do it? Lynch was running well, so lets pass on 3rd and 2? Are you fucking kidding me? And its so very predictable. How many times did we run on 3rd and 4 or less today? not many, and not at all in the second half if I can recall. its a pass every time. The best part is when they make it even easier for the defense to know what we are doing and go empty backfield.

a mediocre offensive coordinator could run circles around bevell, its a complete mystery how this guy has a job.

Why did we fire jeremy bates? WHY?!? we put up 41 points on the saints with him calling the plays.

He was fired because there was a difference in "philosophy" in 2010

I know that, but it sounds like a BS reason. If he can be fired for that can bevell be fired for lack of offense all together?

Rice played 8 games and had 15 receptions. I really don't see that commanding respect. Seahawks offense has sputtered all year, mostly I blamed the OL, but today I thought the OL did a decent job on pass blocking , but Wilson made their job harder. When he stepped up in the pocket he seemed compelled to keep moving forward, rather then stepping up in the pocket, stopping and trying to find a receiver. Any way that what it seemed liked to me. Also he's falling into the habit of rolling out to his right again, when trying to escape the rush. What happen to his spin move?

I know the Seahawks offense can play better. Time for that to happen.

Part of the problem with our Offense is who we've been facing. St.Louis, Arizona, San Fran, New Orleans x2. Those are 5 really tough defenses. I think all of them are in the top 6 of the league or close to it. I'd like to see any other team face that line-up and see what their offensive numbers are. It doesn't get any easier either. We get Carolina or San Fran next Sunday so it will be another top defense.

If we survive and get to the SB we will actually face one the easiest defenses we've seen in about 6 weeks.

With Rice out, we still lack a tall true #1 wideout. If he wasn't doing much this year, defenses still had to game plan and commit resources to guard him.

Harvin ended up out the entire season.

Tate is great when he's on, but the guy has always been hot or cold.
Same with Baldwin.

We also faced a lot of great Ds this season.

I think we walked into this game knowing that the elements would disrupt the Brees passing attack and it did. But the weather did some impact to Russell as well. I think we took it for granted that because we play in stuff like this in Nov and Dec sometimes, that we're invincible to it, but even we are not when it 40mph winds and sideways rain.

And yes, we were facing one of the Top 5 Ds in the league today. We saw the physical nature of them today. They play physical D like we do, but ultra nasty and want to knock players out of games.

But its obvious with Rice out, probably for good as a Seahawk considering the salary issue. We'll need to add a tall WO either via draft or FA this year. Same goes for Miller. Both WR and TE position need some love on this team.
