Brown also went to Notre Dame, he was in the spotlight just a smidge more than Moss and this stuff has gotta stop, absolutely in no way was Brown a better college receiver than Rice or Moss, that's just nonsense.
Moss could have went to ND but.....Ive got Brown and Crabs song with others still OTB based on college careers.

I do think Brown is undervalued in NFL drafts. But theres a reason I hated him before the raiders drafted him

He was just a steady guy. No real standout seasons just very good over a long period of time.

And it's not like he had amazing QBs he played with.

Debatable different levels of play ND may be an Indy but they play a P5 SOS. You also have to factor in style of play. Brown did not play in a system suited for WR's. I hate ND and UCLA more than anyone. But theres a reason Brown was the first WR to win a heisman. And it goes well beyond punt returns. He earned it. Crabs,Brown,Warrick were all steals.

Campbell may be my favorite pick so far. Not many players have the coach of their rival say they are the best college player they've seen i.e. Barry Switzer

You really need to stop with this level of competition stuff, that's not the deciding factor every time. Moss would have dominated anyone he played, once again the proof is in the fact that he did the same thing when he got to the NFL, Crabtree not so much... So Moss PROVED level of competition means nothing he made NFL players look stupid, he shouldn't be punished because of the school he went to.

Marshall wasn't really a spread team. They were somewhat balanced w/ Doug Chapman rushing for over 1,000 yards. However, when you have "The Freak", you feed him the ball. He played an SEC team in his one bowl game... 173 yards.

Again, bringing something into the conversation that doesn't belong there, sure he was/is an ass hole but he was still a much better receiver than Brown, Crabtree, Warrick and any of those other guys you love.

Crabtree has been an ok NFL receiver. Definitely not worth his draft spot but not Kevin White level bust.

And it caused him to play at a lower level of competition . Which is extremely valid in comparisons. Weaker defenses already posted Marshals schedule good college WR yes. The best? far from it

Air Raid which goes back to why Brown's accomplishments were more impressive. As well as where college systems come into play.
