Tough league! I'm glad we got our road visits to Kansas, Isu, and Osu out of the way.

Point made. #1 OU gets knocked off by ISU; #3 Kansas gets beat by Oklahoma State.

Road games are difficult. Need to hold serve at home.

I can see where someone would see that out of what I said- I should have written it more clearly.

It's brutal for Texas Longhorn folk.

But that point given, it's still a tough basketball league, for everyone in it, including the good teams.

I'd agree on all points.

Yes have to win your home games and the robin really shines in basketball where you play each team twice.

Wins over #3 North Carolina, #6 WVU(on the road), #17 ISU are gonna help Texas post season hopes.

Kind of scared now that Iowa is in the top 10. Pretty much seems like that guarantees a loss here shortly lol

Goes back to some comments above, re: generally speaking, just because you have a tough schedule, does not necessarily mean you're any good. Texas has #1 SOS, but got to win some of those games for it to mean anything.

I figure it can't actually happen, so I'll ask...has any #1 team ever had the #1 SoS? Doesn't seem possible.

Man there are no great teams this year. If this keeps up I can see a lower seed making the final 4.....and by lower seed I'm talking about a 6 or 7 seed

Texas wins at WV and Baylor gets taken to double OT at home vs Ksu. Big 12 is just rediculous.

Yes, yes. We lost to the Aggies. And that it is a "good loss", seeing as the Ags are a top 10 team.

Ya got yourselves a good basketball team to root for this year. As much as it pains me to say so.

dont think the number one team worries about SoS, is how I see it I guess. Only teams thinking about tough schedules are those hoping to get into the tourney.

it might come into play when they are hoping to be the top #1 seed though.

You ask and I deliver FM. The answer to your question is no. The NCAA champ has NEVER had the number 1 SoS. Did some research and the top 5 SoS rankings for NCAA champions are

1975 UCLA #2
1979 MICHIGAN ST #2
1988 KANSAS #2
1993 UNC #3
2005 UNC #3

If you're interested the WORST 5 SoS are

2013 LOUISVILLE #50
1994 ARKANSAS #44
2006 FLORIDA #38
2007 FLORIDA #36
1986 LOUISVILLE #33

THAT was a shit ton of work but very interesting. Did you know that 29 of the last 40 NCAA champions have a SoS in the top 17? So when doing your brackets it's wise not to have a team going too far if their SoS isn't very high.
