It would take a lot for Kansas to not be a #1 seed.

they've basically been the best team in the country all year.

Agreed on UVA/UNC.

Two teams that will be heavy favorites for the final four in almost any region that isn't Kansas'.

C-USA: Middle Tennessee over Old Dominion 55-53

Sunday, March 13th

Before the Selection Special (that CBS has expanded to 2 hours... for some stupid reason), the last 5 automatic bids must be decided. And here they are: (All times are Eastern)

Atlantic 10 Championship:
Saint Joseph's vs. VCU (12:30)

SEC Championship:
Kentucky vs. Texas A&M (1:00)

Sun Belt Championship:
Louisiana-Monroe vs. Arkansas-Little Rock (1:00)

Big 10 Championship:
Michigan State vs. Purdue (3:00)

American Championship:
Game of the Day: UConn vs. Memphis (3:15) (This one's very simple: If Memphis wins, at least one bubble team goes away. So they'll ALL be rooting for UConn today.)

3/14 recap

Well, the 2015-16 season is almost over. Now all we have to do is grab a bracket, fill it in, and try to win some NCAA office pool somewhere.
As for me, I'll be acknowleging the other tournaments out there. Mind you, I'm not going all nut-so on it. I'll just be giving you what happened in tournaments OUTSIDE of the NCAA:

CIT 1st Round: Jackson State over Sam Houston State 81-77 in OT
Grand Canyon over South Carolina State 78-74

Syracuse and Tulsa got in?!

I'll be honest; I was a little surprised to see Syracuse in the field of 68. I was also VERY surprised to see Tulsa in the field, too (Granted, it's a play-in game, but still). I mean, there were a few teams some people believe are more worthy.

Teams like San Diego State, Monmouth, South Carolina, St. Bonaventure, UAB, Saint Mary's...

...Man, did my squad get lucky, or what? :D

(P.S: For a completly different take, go to "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd and listen to his rant about "bracketologists")

NIT seems to do this so often, you have these highly seeded teams that were all hopefuls getting into the big dance, getting disappointed about being left out, and then getting knocked out early.

The committee can say what they want, but they did miss this one and hopefully Calipari's comments will force the committee to come up with a grading system that will be the same every year.
