You just haven't patched enough holes. There are 8-10 players on your team that are either injured and/or have no business being on any fantasy team. If you swapped them (once each) for better players on the free agent market and started them daily, your team would perform much better.

I think the shapely ass at the top of this page is slowly hypnotizing me, which keeps me coming back for more. :faint2:

Yeah I could have done a better job of improving my lineup. For the past month or so I have mainly just put my starters in - I havent really looked for improvements.

I don't understand what Isle is doing. The trouble with vetoes is that half the league isn't even participating regularly at this point, so a veto isn't going to happen even if several people found a trade objectionable. But I think trading half your team and seemingly giving all other playoff teams minor upgrades is suspect.

I also think it's funny Mav called Isle out and now has multiple trades pending with him. First off, so hypocritical. Again, this goes back to your very fuzzy morality which you look to impose on others and then ignore when it's advantageous for yourself. Pretty pathetic.

Personally, I thought my trade was pretty fair. Did I upgrade? Yes, but I gave up 2 guys having pretty decent fantasy years. I'm not gonna comment on the other trades. I think they speak for themselves ;)

That's the key word. The trades aren't ridiculous. It just seems like he's giving other teams nice upgrades for no reason. It's one thing when you make a couple trades for a weakness - giving up a better player to cover a problem area or add depth. But a forward-for-forward trade when one just has straight up weaker stats makes no sense.

Coupled with a very apathetic earlier post that hints at some less than honest intentions, it just seems like he's trying to go out with a bang rather than just trying to make the playoffs and call it a season if he doesn't, which is the most common thing that ruins a very good, competitive fantasy season.

I think I'll be okay. I got some assists from other players last night. Right now I'm tied 6-6-1. Hopefully Hiller & Elliott can kick butt for me in goal the rest of the week.

Those who are against what I've done this week I only have one thing to say:

I decided to go in another directionn with my team. I felt it wasn't getting the job done. I upgraded my goaltending. My PIM's should be better once the next trade is added to my roster. I think I'll have better goaltending & I don't feel I downgraded too much with Getzlaf & Tavares going forward. Time will tell.

I disagree with what he's doing, but there's not a damn thing I can do about it, because like I said (and you just repeated), the trades cannot be vetoed due to inactivity.

That said, if two teams that I may be up against in the playoffs are going to make these trades, I'm not about to lose to them because I didn't follow suit. I didn't dominate this league all season long just to get knocked out by a guy that acquired Giroux at a discount rate. The five point game alone he just had proves that trade was grossly unfair, far more so than either of mine or the other trade. Tavares has two points in his last eight games and has far less talent around him with all do respect. Giroux is in another stratosphere from this guy (for now) due to the strength of his team and added experience/years.

For whatever reason, I wasn't exactly being discouraged by the Isles, who stated "Feel free to make all the deals you want. I'm open for business."

If he wants to downgrade his entire team and miss the playoffs, I have to help him out if I can't prevent it. Go ahead and call me what makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. I don't endorse whatever the hell Isles is doing, but I'm also not about to let him trade all of his top talent to two of my direct competitors. You should do the same.

I wouldn't gladly had all of the moves vetoed, including my own, but that's not the world we live in apparently...

Okay, Isles. I appreciate the explanation. I was more concerned by your post from another page which almost seemed like you were giving up, but I understand now. Good luck getting that final playoff spot!

Lol at the guy so willing to judge the morality of others whose own is so flimsy. Such a hypocrite. I really like how you managed to pat yourself on the back in the middle of that post as well. It's just an all-around impressive display of douchebaggery.

Giroux a -3 tonight. what a bum. I want Tavares back.

see? i can use small sample sizes as well.
as mentioned, at the time of the trade - they had equal goals, and Giroux had 7 more assists. not quite the different stratosphere you continue to falsely present.

Absolutely no help from my goalies this week led to a losing record in both leagues. If it continues I won't A) get past the first round of the playoffs and/or B) not make them at all.

Rofl...G is an Art Ross and Hart candidate. Tavares is just plain not there yet and may never even be there, especially with the Isles. He's 10 points back and has played in 4 more games, plus his power play production is far less. Giroux leads the Nhl in power play assists with 25 and Tavares is tied for 18th. End of story. We both know you by far got the better of that deal. I at least gave up an All-Star goalie that is now statistically the best in the Nhl, plus what was the only 20 goal/100 PIM man in the Nhl until Scotty dropped a dime on saturday.

And Eloco, what exactly is wrong with me saying I've dominated the league? I have...lol Would you like to attempt to dispute that fact? Look at my team stats for this week or any recent week compared to everyone elses. Then look at my overall record, which is far and away superior. If you're still not convinced, look at the overall season stats for each team. I'm leading 6 of the 13 categories outright. The next highest is Vadered with 3 and I'm right behind him in all three, plus just beat him 9-4 this week. I have the strongest and the hottest team entering the playoffs. That's a fact, not an opinion. It doesn't mean that I'm going to walk all over everyone and win easily as unexpected things can happen, but I do like my chances.

If there were another team that had dominated this league instead, I'd be happy to point it out. I just happen to be that team this time around. Embrace the truth, don't ignore it.

You won your week 10-2-1. If we had matched up this week, I'd have beaten you 13-0-0.

Better start praying that Crosby suits up within the next several weeks...

I'll see you in round 2.
