Amen. This is how I see it. Now that they made a public statement saying they were conducting their own investigation, people will be waiting to see what they find. And what happens when they find that Paterno really did drop the ball? I doubt they'll make that public.

Instead they should have said "no comment" and proceeded to conduct their own look into things and then, should they find something contrary, they could bring it to the public.

This whole time, they have been way too defensive and public about what they think.

Yes they have. They were making defensive comments even before the report came out and I found that interesting.

I find that stament from the Paterno family disgusting. They still believe that he knew nothing about what that freak was doing. Its called denial and they suffer from it.

Hey Paterno family....Nobody gives a shit what you think...least not I

they just refuse to believe that he knew, regardless of the evidence.. and i guess i cant really blame them, i definitely wouldn't believe it if one of my family members was accused like this

but i agree w/ what was above, the evidence so far is pretty damning, so if you think not enough evidence has been gathered, i'd be pretty quiet about it becuase doing this just makes you look as bad as all the people who covered it up were

and all evidence aside, how could he not know?

i guess they'll just use the baseball player type defense.. "he didn't know what he was doing with children in the shower, he never asked"

How did that ever turn out? Still on the hunt for the real molesters?
