OT: NASA Puts Rover on Mars

If there is a realistic plan to establish colonies outside of our planet, then I find this money well spent. If not, then this could have been a little unnecessary. Judging by Obama giving NASA so much push-back in the past, I feel like this will make a bigger difference once we have a president that's fully behind it.

This wasn't meant to be a statement against Obama, just that we threw a lot of money into this that may be going to waste for now.

The reason that I say that is without the steps in place to fully follow through, there's no point in starting in the first place.

None of what they discover right now will go to waste though. This is a step in the process of getting humans on Mars (which supposedly is going to happen by the mid 2030's).

Given that they are most likely a technologically advanced civilization, I think this might be an even more likely scenario with homosexual aliens.
