When I first moved to Atlanta, I went to an outstanding Italian restaurant (La Grotta) and the people I was with showed me his condo building across the street (Peachtree). That's as close as I got lol

I was 11 years old, and was allowed to stay up to watch, because it was summer.

I thought I remembered that they didn't have color broadcasts for the first few Apollo landings.
Looking over some NASA writeups now I'm not so sure about that, it mentions color broadcasts during flight.
Perhaps my family didn't have color TV for Apollo 11. Checking family pictures, I don't see that TV before 1970.
