Bon Jovi opened for the Scorpions in ‘84. Runaway was just released maybe a month prior.

The thing I remember most from that night was Jon Bon Jovi getting booed because he made some comment about he wanted to fuck all the pretty girls in Pittsburgh, even the ones with boyfriends lol

I think Jon tried that same line in Edmonton one time, alas there were no pretty girls to be found.

I had to look it up. I totally remembered this wrong. It was ‘76 and Seger opened for Kiss.

Don’t get old kids, the mind goes first.
It's okay. I missed the year I saw Living Colour with the Olden Stones by a few myself

An acquired taste, but undeniably from Ireland.

Happy Birthday Jerry Cantrell.

I saw him perform a solo show not long after Layne Staley died.
Did not realize how much of the AIC vocal sound was from Jerry.
He mixed in a bunch of AIC songs of course, and it was chilling.

Cool thing was, the opening band played their set, then returned to be his backing band.
and the singer for the opening band is now the lead singer for AIC

Nice. I got to see both versions of AIC. Layne and William. They opened for VH on the FUCK tour.

*I wish I wasn’t young, stupid and drunk at that time and I could have appreciated AIC more that day.

*I only remember they closed with Man in the box

40 years ago, the Number of the Beast was released.
That little cassette changed my trajectory.

And this song is fucking awesome. Play loud.

released on this day 39 years ago, Eliminator.
This little blues band certainly made the most of MTV's emergence

a deeper cut, but my fave from the album
tasty, tasty tone from the Rev.

Never heard of them. Actually heard the song but thought it was by the Grass Roots.....who I've barely heard of.

Old Guy Radio goes down under this morning with one of his favorite bands - If this tune doesn't get you up and moving, check your pulse. Such a shame we lost Michael Hutchence so early.

Loved INXS. So much so that I had Michael Hutchence's haircut for a period of time. Great live show too. Saw them with Sonic Youth and the Pixies.
