I don't think I ever heard that but I am very surprised it hasn't been used in tons of movies set in the early 80s. Peppy and really sounds like that era.

The place where that happened has been demolished and will soon be high density, rapidly built housing.

The guy who owned the venue lives in my neighborhood. He's really nice and has one hell of a collection of rock memorabilia in his basement.
