Growing up playing ball, i was coached a couple years by the father of former cubs lefty steve wilson. For you vancouver guys, we played out of Gordon Park on 49th close to Victoria drive. The park had no outfield fence and left field backed on to the tennis courts at david thompson high school ... 600 feet away. Old coach doug would tell us 17 year old larry walker would put balls into that tennis court and we all believed him lol. The man the myth ! lol

Much as I like Doc, and I think he was one of if not the most talented pitchers of his day, I really don’t know if his career body of work really added up to a hall of fame career even if you're counting for the fact he played on ass teams for 80% of his career.

I also don’t think Edgar nor Walker should be in.



But Harold fucking Baines is going into Cooperstown so nobody can really complain.
