It's an MCL tear/tibial plateau fx, by the way. Out for the rest of the year, needs surgery. And that prick is making a joke. I used to simply hate him because he has an annoying face, now at least I have a reason.

I'm happy there is video review in MLB to get the call right, but in all honesty, that play wasn't that close at 3rd base. Shame on that ump, I called Ackley out 3,000 miles away in my living room.

Tabler: "Beltran is a dangerous hitter, he's quick at getting the bat on the ball"

Very next pitch, BOOM!

I was at a friend's condo about a half mile from the Dome. When Navarro hit that blast, we were on the patio and you could hear the roar from inside the stadium quite loudly.

I really can't believe they loaded the bases in the 8th and 9th and still managed to lose. This isn't the fucking time for this shit.

I see the shitbirds got huffy last night because Papelbon threw at Machado after he admired his 7th inning home run. Machado even said "That's coward stuff".

Here's the link: Jose Bautista home run admiration draws ire of Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles

Oh wait, sorry, hahaha my bad. That's just the story from April where Jose Bautista admired his HR 3 pitches after some dickless loser threw a 94 mph fastball at his head and the Orioles players threw a tantrum. At the time, a move like Bautista's was described by Adam Jones as "It's not his first, it's not a walk-off, it's in the seventh inning," Jones said after the game. "Let's not walk halfway down the line. Respect the game. I know he does, but at that moment right there he didn't, and when it happens against my team, I'm going to take offense to it."

I wonder how many Blue Jays they try to concuss with baseballs next week.

Hopefully none. Throwing at batters us always cowardly in my opinion. I wont argue (can't remember) who started it last year but I remember not being happy a team out of it was throwing at another team.

I don't quite remember how it all started either, but the whole thing where they were repeatedly targeting Bautista high was sickening. The guy can get under your skin, fine. They're division rivals, this is what's supposed to happen. But that is incredibly fucking dangerous and just like in the series vs. KC earlier this season it always seems to be the Jays being penalized for it and I just don't get it.

I agree, there is no place for head hunting in the game. It can really hurt someone and affect their careers. In my opinion some of the things pitchers and teams get upset about they just need to get over it.

It's gotten pretty dumb. Arizona a few years back were the worst with it (along with Brian McCann) but it seems to have permeated throughout the league now, the whole "perceived disrespect". Pretty soon players will be running the bases alongside enforcers.

It's amazing to me because so many of these players played in the Dominican or Venezuelan Winter Leagues while they came up through the minors, and the culture of those leagues is full of over-the-top celebration, and everyone loves it. A guy hits a home run, he does something ridiculous to celebrate it, and the opposing dugout gets a kick out of it. The Korean Baseball Organization, guys do dramatic big bat flips, sometimes on fly outs and foul balls, and it's amazing, and no one gets mad.

And isn't that pure-joy approach really the game in its purest form? My favorite players to watch are the ones who do not hide the fact that they're having a ball out there. I'd love it if the culture of the American game would allow more of that without pointless retaliation.
