Did u know they still sell them that way in ontario?

Plastic gallon jugs arent sold there

They still sell them that way here in NB too, but very few people other than my mother buys them. Cartons tend to be the most popular but the jugs are also available.

Yup, that was great - Was it Coleco that had the hand-held football game? I played that for hours on end.

Coleco and Mattel both had versions if i remember right. Mattel had the 3 red blips as the "d".

Raise your hand if you would get yelled at for playing with the UHF dial.

If you turned the dial too fast you would get yelled at for "stripping it".

I remember when about the worst you were looking at after a night out was a case of gonorrhea. And I remember that being treatable, too.

Who remembers the days before remote channel changers when you would lie on the floor and change the channels with your toes?

I remember when a hard clean check in hockey didn't result in having to drop the gloves...

I had a sawed off hockey stick with a couple of beer cans in "series" taped to it (for balance), as well as a chunk off coat hanger taped to the end of it which I could then use to sit on the couch and kind of poke the "up and down" buttons on the TV from a distance.

Probably hard to visualize, but it worked.

I remember a big special night was renting a VCR and movie. Having to lug that giant VCR suitcase around.

we had a 2 piece VCR that cost my dad $600 when it came out. thats alot of coin for the 80s.... it was 2 piece as the VCR side disconnected and you hooked up a Video Camera to it with a wire so (since I was the only one that knew how to work it) had to carry this fucking 15 pound VCR slung on my shoulder and 5 pound camera on top of my other shoulder.... the other piece was the channel changer for the VCR
