ITA, they think everyone that doesn't agree with them is an idiot or stupid. They have an agenda and that's OK but don't think the other side won't use every tool in it's shed to muddy the waters. The Dems did the same thing (muddy up the waters) when the repubs were in office. Anyone remember how the Dems wanted to defund the troops in Iraq. Both teams cheat. OK flame you can call me more names now.

And do you remember them trying to shut down the whole fucking government if the Repubs wouldn't negotiate?

Politics replacing real solutions? Perish the thought! I do believe both sides suck.

Obamacare was passed when the Dems had complete control. Nancy Pelosi would not even allow Republicans to initiate debate issues, and very little time was given to study what was in the bill. Around time the bill was about to be voted on, Pelosi was heard to say "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it". It was rammed down our throats. It's the Dems' agenda that runs the country now, even with Repubs' control of the House. When things go bad(as they already are), keep that in mind.

I've seen this argument and I just don't get it. The Repubs seem to be 'mad' that they weren't given a choice on the manner.... There is nowhere in the constitution (the favorite talking point of the political right) that guarantees a party's input into a bill. Bills are passed without regards to party.... The representatives of congress, as voted on by citizens, voted a bill into a law.

Obamacare is not "running the country" - regardless of how everything went down. There's nothing to keep in mind. The Republican party - out of fear of losing their seats due to the Tea Party - has NOW hijacked the country and essentially brought everything to a halt.

the Tea Party must be a larger representation of the country or they wouldn't be in charge of the house, if you guys don't want radical behavior in the house convince your Tea Party friends and relatives to vote for Liberal representation and we will all be on the same page.

Write your congressman and your president and tell them to put down the golf clubs and get in bargaining room and come to some sort of compromise instead of just going on the major networks and saying it's his way or the highway, and do it quickly because the government default date is right around the corner.

No, they aren't, on any of those counts. They aren't a larger representation of the country than what anyone thinks nor are they in charge of the house.

The only thing they are is a small faction out of the Republican party. And the only reason they have any kind of pull within the party is because the #1 thing on the mind of any politician is, 'how do I get re-elected'. The Republicans would have pushed them out long ago if they didn't fear the risk of potentially losing their seat.

It isn't "his way or the highway". He's not asking for anything in return of raising the debt ceiling. But you know who are? The Republicans. The ball is in their court.

if you blame one side or the other, then you've bought into the lies of one side or the other and you are part of the problem.

each side is like "give me what I want or it's your fault"
it's like watching children argue

F*** both sides!

wake the hell up.

for shit's sake... it's the one trap intelligent people tend to fall into, but wake the hell up.

Wake up and do what? It's all well and good to just throw up your hands with the government and simply say I quit, but that doesn't make you feel much better when you can't go to work or can't get paid.

and just who do you think will be replacing the worrisome republican, a Tea Party replacement or are you going to tell me that particular republican district has a Liberal they want to replace that seat with.

Ahh yeah, just like it was in the Dems court when they had the congress and the office, but did they play fair no. Both sides suck, I get it but theyve come down to both sides getting the other side's tit in a ringer before they can really sit down and negotiate fairly and it hurts the common folk, don't like it but it's where we are at. My advise to everyone is vote for the guy who's putting the country first vote out crooks like Boehner and Reid, that simple and you wont get furloughed.

The "FEAR" of losing their seat. "RISK". On the other hand, if they just play along, they're all but GUARANTEED to retain their seat. It's not a difficult concept. The only people who believe the tea party is worth anything are the tea partiers themselves. You're overestimating yourself.

You guys keep referencing the past (and as grad mentioned the Dems have NEVER gone this far). Let's talk about the now. This one is clear cut in the laps of the Republicans.
