OT: for those who have seen the new Batman movie

ok to take a 4 1/2 yr old who is begging to see it?

Too violent?

Or no more so than Spiderman or Green Lantern or Avengers or Captain America, which he's seen and was ok with?

I would say it's considerably more violent than those films, not nearly as cartoonish. I'd suggest not taking a 4 year old, not necessarily just because of the violence, but it is pretty much a 3 hour movie with a lot of talking/slower scenes that a 4 year old probably wouldn't understand or care about.

Just saw it; I think the content is just fine for a 7-year-old. Like Nasty said though, there's more stretches of talking than in most superhero movies. If the kids liked the other Batman movies, I'm sure they'd be fine with this one. Nothing too gruesome.

I think if your kid can handle the Dark Knight, they should be ok in TDKR.

But I saw Predator at age six in the theater...
