Yeah Rivers & Co got it done. The Chargers became the first team to score on 5 consecutive possesions against the Ravens. It would have been 7 if Novak hadn't hit the upright on a 37 yarder.
Word is Big Ben won't play because of his ankle. Do you think Baltimore's loss will change that decision? We're talking about the chance to have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Really? The most recent report I heard (unofficial) was that he was in. The only official word is he's listed as "questionable". I'd think this loss would make him playing more likely. Because if the Ravens had won, then there's basically no reason to worry about winning in San Fran. Yeah, it'd be great momentum, but not worth further injury. I think they should try him out, see what happens. San Fran's run D is too good to not play him. They haven't given up a rushing TD all season. That's insane.
How is Baltimore 10-3 with Joe Flacco as QB?!? Is it their great defense?
On some nights. I fear Flacco has done just well enough to get himself a new contract. I for one would like to see another QB get some real snaps with the team, not just in a blow out. No one besides Flacco has since he has been here.
Sorry, but Tyrod Taylor is NOT the answer.
I am not saying he is and honestly because I do not follow college football at all I know next to nothing about him.
There are so many Baltimore fans who think Flacco is good and blame everyone but him when he has a bad game. If someone else had played a game or two it might shed more light on where the problems really lie. Ideally I would have liked Bulger to have had some playing time last year, my gut feeling is he would have done very well. Maybe he could actually see the field and read defenses instead of just looking for Ray Rice for a dump off.
The bottom line is I think Flacco has improved very little from his decent rookie season and I think he has stopped progressing. And as he is now, I do not think he is a good QB.
I can understand why you feel the way you do. Once the Chargers got a double digit lead they played their 2 safeties deep. They forced Flacco to dump the ball off short. The Ravens really only had two big pass plays the entire game. There are times when he's been great this year & times when he's been awful. I watched the game against the Jaguars in disbelief. I wondered how in the world he could lead a 90 plus yard drive to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh & couldn't make a play to save his life against Jacksonville.
He certainly has a great arm and at times he looks great. Other games he looks awful. He still has a tendency to get confused by some defenses and cannot seem to find targets if his primary is covered.
The loss is not on him tonight but he didn't help. The defense was awful.
What am I complaining about - Joe Flacco is a top 5 QB, just ask him. He'll tell you.
From afar I can tell you I am not a fan of Norv.
I am laughing. LAUGHING. Because somehow, some way, the Eagles have not yet been eliminated from the playoffs. Granted, over the next two weeks there is exactly one way we make the post season - next week we beat Dallas, Giants lose to Jets; following week we beat Washington, Giants beat Dallas. That's not the most likely outcome, but it's not the least likely either.
Only way this week could have gone better for us is if the Cowboys had lost this week, meaning we'd only need to win out and have the Giants lose a game. Still, we were freaking 4-8, and the fact that we are still alive in any way shape or form is mind bogglingly awesome.
Is this what it's like to be a fan of an NFC West team? Because I could do this all the time, man.
What's even more amazing is the Cardinals & Seahawks are both 7-7. Then again when we look at their schedules is easy to see how. They don't play anybody. The Cardinals play the Bengals next week after beating Cleveland yesterday. Must be nice.
I fart in your general direction.
