Eva Green can take over the screen. I hate hate hate Dark Shadows but she was fantastic. She was awesome in Penny Dreadful.
Exactly. And I think Timothy Dalton is an astounding actor. The two of them together with a little Rory Kinnear and Billie Piper thrown in for good measure is what made that show a standout.

Anyway it was Cha-Cha. I know from her performance in Mudbound that Mary J. Blige can be excellent, so I don't know if she was uninterested when she filmed this or a bad fit for the part, or what. But when you put her side-by-side with Hazel it really stood out to me.
She gets bonus points for her cover of The Faces "Stay With Me" in whatever episode that was.

I loved her in The Dreamers.
correction. in the three minute clip of The Dreamers that I have seen 100 times.
not sure I've ever seen they whole movie.

I think I've only seen her otherwise in the James Bond movie.

I see that Angela is not in it, maybe she is finally actually busy with work.

That was the most unrealistic part of the show for me, I could buy that Angela became successful and smashed through the glass ceiling I just couldn't believe she did it while seemingly spending so much time goofing around at home in Fairfield. Even before they were a couple there didn't seem to be many nights when Tony and the kids ate dinner alone and Angela ate leftover dinner at 3 am cause the Toyota guys just had to know if the rumours they'd heard about that place on the Lower East Side were true.

I was always surprised no one could figure out Tony was bangin' Mona.

It could have easily been a cheap 80's Pron. Boyfriend sleeps with girlfriends mom.

And might add RIP Katherine Helmond.

Remember the episode when that accordian player was molesting Jonathan and trying to recruit him into that sex cult? Whoever the boss was they looked the other way on a lot of things.

anyone watching the Umbrella Academy?
a bit of a mind-fuck (time travel apocalypse stuff), but season one was pretty compelling.
very, very good soundtrack, too

season two comes out today.
and for some Canadiana, the son of Tragically Hip's Gord Sinclair is in the cast for this upcoming season.

move really enjoyed season 2. I’ve enjoyed it more than the 1st season.

We just finished it as well.
I was worried because the S2 trailer looked hokey as hell.
They really pulled it together

I just finished the outsider. Very suspenseful and fitting for these covid times we are living in although the last 20 minutes of the series seemed unneccessary lol

Watching "Connected, the hidden science of everything" on Netflix, and it is fascinating. Family had to stop after the episode on Benford's Law (math rules in nature and pretty much everything else) and let our minds decompress.

Can one of the smarter :nerd: members of the board explain how it relates to frequency of notes / chords in music.

Utterly mind boggling

I wanted to like Perry Mason, and it wasn't terrible, but I think it was kind of a mess. It did set up the second season pretty well.
